Sequence of operation is easily in the top 10 things a gas engineer needs to know and this is well explained. Have learnt this information through blood sweat and tears and here it is on a plate. Excellent. Hope that this channel keeps growing and you manage to find the time to post more key videos like this to improve engineering mindsets.

Interesting. Ours in the US the ignitor turns on first before the gas valve.

Good video. Just remember on old 80% boilers there will be no fan (natural draft) or LED flame rectification light. ✌

Hello, my question is the following: When the boiler is off, where is the three-way valve positioned towards the heating systems or the sanitary water? Thanks
@Abzkhai10 күн бұрын
It’s default position is on priority hot water position

Doesn’t the flow switch always come after the pump?
@cputilitysolutions3 жыл бұрын
That's one type of flow switch, the one I'm referring to in this video is the cold mains flow switch or sensor which detects incoming water to switch over to hot water demand 👍🏽 I can see why it gets confusing!

I extended my heating today for an hour and this evening it would not come on, when start button pushed on the fan comes on, the ignition sparks but no gas. Could that possibly be the programmer or just a coincidence? Many thanks in advance.

I was trying to find out how many Ohms you need on an Eco Tec Gas Valve. Are there any useful apps or websites that you know of that complie useful information like that?
@cputilitysolutions3 жыл бұрын
Those sort of figures will be manufacturer specific so your best way is to give them a call in the week and they'll be able to tell you. I know off the top of my head the older ones have a resistance of around 50-60 ohms but can't remember the newer ones. If you're on Instagram then have a look at my page there too as I post my daily breakdowns there too. Just search for my name 👍🏽

Very Good video. I have been told by numerous engineers that Pump runs first but I am on a fault finding course in Northolt. These guys are saying Fan kicks in first then pump. Not sure.. bit puzzled.
@cputilitysolutions3 жыл бұрын
The pump would always have to run first in order for the boiler to detect a flow of water through it before it can go to ignition. Hope that helps
