I like this idea. The Khruangbin time in my life has been wonderful! Watched my daughter graduate from an Ivy League School yesterday and all I could hear was Dern Kala, instead of Pomp and Circumstance 😂😂😂😂 It's the best Step Right Up and claim your wonderful place in the world, music! And then she got engaged at the reception dinner that followed. Wonderful times indeed.

@@mommom3172 It was everything one could hope for 😊 22 songs with an awesome setlist, 2 hours playtime, melting away beautifully on 30 °C at 22h in the evening. There were some distracting microphonic feedback sound issues and frequency loss for Mark's guitar during the first set which had all A La Sala songs, but thankfully the sound crew solved the issue for the second set and encore

@theyearofthenine I love Tame Impala's music, and it's some of my favorite music to listen to atm, but Kevin Parker is nowhere near as skilled with melodic/lyrical guitar playing like this, and his drumming is way below DJ here. Saw them when working at latitude in Suffolk UK recently. We couldn't find anyone to mix on the other stages because every audio tech on the festival site of 40'000 people was in the front row for the whole set. The punters didn't stand a chance, the first 3 rows were a sea of black clothed people with coffee and spliffs in hand. Thats the highest compliment you can pay any band doing the festival circuit. I'm a 40 years old single father of 3 beautiful baby girls and I have NEVER hear music like this;...I'm sure that's blasphemy to your fans and genre but I just have never been around anything at all even remotely close to this and let me tell you, when this started I got an entire BOdY head to toe of chills and goosebumps!!!!!!! Not sure I've experienced that for ANYTHING in my life but your random video popped up that I'd never really heard of and the music isn't like anything I've ever heard but man I found myself completely grooving and head bobbin to your sound and I LOVE IT!!! I appologise to the REAL longtime. Fans of this group and style for not knowing but MAN I can even describe how epic this was to me,..completely new style for me personally but I LOVEEEE it!!!!! The drummer is literally perfect and I think t he cut!!! nONSTOP!!! N we seen anything like it as consistency and perfection goes and tie the bass player is beautiful but MAN she has talent !!!!! You can tell it's passion no Jsut music!!! And then lastly.......by suredly NOT least,... the guitar,....I've never seen talent like that before!!!! It's literally innthe same pages as Hendrix!! My gosh what a combination !!!! So stoked to SO some reasearch after this and see what hey are all about!!! Seem to have a huge loyal fan base and sad I haven't seen them sooner!!! I’m here, once again, to receive my daily dose of Khruangbin. No need to worry, I cannot OD listening JD, Marc, and Laura; they supply the right amount of the juicy grooves my soul so much desires. Long live Khruangbin!

I already stuck this deeper in a thread, but for those of you wondering what the hip hop tracks tracks are that Mark Speer cheekily buries into this masterclass... 29:12 Funky Technician (Lord Finesse) / They Want EFX (Das EFX) 29:42 Step Into A World (KRS One) 30:21 The Message (Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five) 30:43 Sign of the Times (Bob James) / Keeping The Faith (De La Soul) / Regulate (Warren G.)

30:45 riff is a nod to De La Soul's "keepin' the faith" and the James Brown cover played right before is also sampled by Das EFX in "they want EFX". Khruangbin knows their hip hop!

For a couple years I loved A Calf Born In Winter, having heard it on Bonobo's Late Night Sessions but I had no idea who it was. KZbin recommended a live Khruangbin performance just yesterday and I have been listening to them almost non stop since.
