Today was the day that I learned that a Walmart candle burns for 4 hours and 40ish minutes. That I find shocking. I was rooting for it the whole time. Looking forward to finding out what two candles can do. Good thought about adding wood. Have a great week

I didn't think that would ever boil. Maybe hot enough for coffee or tea. Thanks for the video brother

It might be able to with a lot of additional work, probably to much work for it to be worth it

Thermometer would give you a better measure of how close you could get. A lid would also improve the temp. The steam is the heat leaving, and that could be enough to prevent it from heating up to usable levels, a lid would trap more heat within.

Yes you are correct, using a lid would be much better for the reasons you stated. I do need to invest in a thermometer.....thanks for watching!

I think a lid on the cup mighta helped. Would lose a lot less heat out the top. Plus, moving the candle closer to the bottom of the cup mighta helped as well. Even using a stainless steel cup mighta helped to hold the heat.

Good suggestions. I might do a follow up video someday

I am thinking it would have helped to have a lid. Or maybe not at tall of a container with a lid. Great video.

I decided to use the same pot/cup for all my water tests to keep consistent. I agree, a lid would have helped but I'm still not sure it would have got all the way there with one. Maybe I'll do a follow up video. Thanks for watching

On the plus side, you could reheat your MRE with it. I mean, the thing that came with the MRE would heat it way better, but...
