My family tease me "are you watching the garden lady again"🤗. I'm in England and a lot of the plants you use are not suitable for my area but still I sit watching and dreaming of 5 acres of land and to design a garden from scratch with day after day of sun. I'm living vicariously through you. Thank you for your entertaining channel and for letting us feel engaged with your life, not just the planting side... It makes you so much more relatable than others

My husband, who loves orchids, says it’s called “Dancing Lady“ I know that orchids are very temperamental and only like to be watered a little bit each time because if they are watered too much, it will kill them. Such a beautiful plant! 💛💜💚

What a fun video for December. Like you said ," it just satisfies the soul". It won't be too long now before we in Georgia will see Daffodils pushing up. Got a lot of Spring clean up to do. Health problems have kept me unable to do anything but cut the grass. Might go out today and clean out my potted plants that had summer annuals in them. I get so motivated just watching your content. Always busy as a bee you are. Merry Christmas. All those plants would have been the best Christmas gift. Think i will tell my husband that's what I want. He keeps asking me an I say I can't think of a thing. But now I know exactly what I want. While down, he had to water all my outside plants which takes an hour to do by dragging around the water hose. He's determined now to buy me hoses like you have. Mount one I'm front and back yard. Think he has caught the bug. He became partial to a couple of planted plants and took extra care with them. He likes red. I have a rooster red crepe myrtle. He watered it daily tho it's well established. Been planted for three years. I told him not to worry about it. Crepe myrtles are tough plants. But he watered it along with everything in yard. He's already talking about what plants do I want for Spring. Just annuals for all my containers. That's all I think I can handle right now. Merry Christmas to everyone. Mat it be blessed with good health, happiness,snd prosperity.

Thanks for the garden center stroll! I made a rookie mistake and brought in some plants from outside without inspecting or realizing that there were fungus gnats. So, now, I am in the battle, have re-potted the most affected inside plant and am watching 👀 intently. QUESTION: Will your online shop ever carry smaller amounts of Gnatrol? I would love to use it, however, it's a huge investment buying a lifetime supply. I have searched online for opportunities to buy a smaller quantity, but no luck. Thanks for all you do to brighten our lives!

The ONE THING I would buy is the STAGHORN FERN. I have never seen one so perfect. Wow. What a unique greenhouse. And as usual with my picks, especially at antique shops, the tag says NFS, Not For Sale! Birds Nest ferns are wonderful and last for years. I take the pot and place it in a bowl of water. It soaks up what water it needs.
@cherylramsey34092 сағат бұрын
In central Florida, you can get a baby staghorn fern at Lowe’s for $6.99. I have one hanging in a tree for many years; It is now a very large ball of a plant and is probably three or four times the size of the mounted staghorn shown mounted in this video There are also Elkhorn ferns, which looks similar to the staghorn. That very first fern that Laura picked up after she picked up the birds nest fern on the table is actually an Elkhorn fern.

Love watching the plant shopping. I bought a couple of small succulents and a few leaves fell off. I stuck them in a little planter and they grew a new plant(baby). So exciting. After they got a little bigger, I replanted my 2 original plants and the babies after they got a little bigger into a really cute planter. Now I have a few more leaves planted and a couple of them have babies. It’s so neat to watch the little one get bigger. Thanks Laura for all the neat videos.

Laura and Aaron, we just moved to Florida from Massachusetts, and the water down here is so hard I couldn't believe it. Water spots, deposits, and corrosion everywhere so badly that we had to call a plumber our very first day here to replace spigots and toilet parts. We ended up getting a Rainsoft Water System installed, and the difference is amazing. Home Depot actually set us up with the company that installed. You should definitely research it with all the hard water issues you deal with. It would end all of them!

I have grown orchids for years and I live in Nampa for nine years. Love coming to the garden center. Just a tip for your new oncidium. My mother in law was given a stapelia 40 years ago for a wedding gift, and when I got married she gave me a piece of hers. It quickly became one of my favorite plants. The leaves get soft when it is thirsty which makes it easy to take care of and no cactus spikes! The purple tips are sun stress.

Fungus Gnat Killer! I wanted to share what I accidentally discovered a couple of days ago. While trying to get rid of black sugar ants, I discovered that this particular ant bait attracts and kills fungus gnats as well! There was a bag of potting soil that had been brought inside from the cold. The gnats hatched and were flying around, but they soon found the bait stations and died. Never in a million years would I have thought that! What a joyful find! Thought I'd pass along the good news. Hot Shot Liquid Ant Bait (in clear domes) Dinotefuran 0.05% You guys are awesome! Shana

what a fun day!!! love all your selections... the twisty or spiral cactus will be interesting: depending on the direction its planted, it can change its spiral.. so you sort of have a record of when you bought it based on which way it starts to spiral...i see 2 new greenhouses in your future!! you will need some small buildings next to the high tunnels in the new area: one for cacti/succulents/epitheliums, and one with higher humidity for ferns and orchids!!! i love all the unusual cacti out there, maybe because down here in socal they're everywhere, haha... we are spoiled a bit.. i'm thinking back to the video you did with Cindy in San Diego, and i'm taking a guess but the roadside nursery you may be remembering was in Encinitas called Weidner's.. and it used to be just a greenhouse or two right off the 5 freeway... it's over 50 years old now and a full blown nursery and gorgeous place to go... i'm further north up in Orange County but we do love to take a trip down that way and explore the nurseries there... also, while i'm aware you don't watch much youtube yourself, you might wanna look at some of Laura Eubanks' videos here on youtube.. she is a wealth of information (and quite a hoot to watch at that), but she has lots of good information on succulents, cacti, and design... she's local to the san diego area and has been around for many, many years... i can't wait to watch all these plants grow!! so fun!! happy holidays!!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

I might have to take a trip down to our garden center. That looked amazing! Northern Utah gets socked in with inversion too. Where I live we luckily don’t get the inversion, but when it gets really bad down below (20min away) you can see it creep through the canyon.
