Looks like Norse don't have a melee counter-infantry so they have a hard time dealing with late game Fanatics.

Ballista got 25% more crush and cost 3 pop (down from 4) in the last update. I think they can be a good counter to fanatics but they're still kinda spendy.

@Klipton66 I'm a Ballista propagandist myself but Norse players still haven't gotten into the habit of putting down extra Hill Forts until it's too late.

They have Balista and before that Throwing Axemen. It’s not that it doesn’t exist, it’s that players don’t make/use them.

@@NathanCassidy721 Fanatics have so much hp and hack armour, throwing axemen are not the counter you think they are. Would have been extra stupid to make them in this game against an already established mass of Arcus. Ballista are good, but Huskarl are mandatory because Norse is so bad against Archer balls - even the Huskarl/RC mix got thoroughly owned. Nothing will change until the Huskarl is moved out of the Hill Fort.

Huge agreeing Gaïa was and is still by far the most disgusting god of this game If not dead before 8minuts you lost Gaia gameplay is just too op and way to easy to execute for the low risk involved
