Honestly it seemed like it was going to be a quick game with Kimo again but man the minute he was given an inch he ran with it. Its really cool to see how great players can bounce back.

1. Boit with the info on the food gather rates that people need 2. Oxcart is still 100 resources total, will still delay their advance. Norse don't have many corners they can cut and were getting the slowest advance times in Retold. It is indeed 14 seconds. 3. Ra's monument empower is a really cool new feature but right now it's WAY too good. Just put the monument down between hunt and the gold mine and leave it empowered and everything, including new building construction, is done at empower rates which means faster than greek vils and getting extra favor, yet they still have the free dropsites and cheaper buildings. Can be a 3:45 classical, to comfortably afford a second TC I'd delay to a 4:00 flat advance time that starts the second TC right at the 4:00 mark. Full empowered econ, extra favor, fastest possible 2 TC, doubles the fire rate of all affected fortifications still, Pharoah comes out of the advance with the full 14.4 pierce damage, etc. It's going to be mega OP if nothing is changed. 4. Norse no longer get any favor from hitting buildings. There's more hunt on the map. Norse are going to learn that if they want that early favor they should just beat down all the animals on the map with their Hersir. 5. All dwarf (non-Thor) strats make less sense due to the increased amount of food on average on the maps. It's a pretty big self-sabotage of their economy 6. TC's cost 500 gold for Egyptian, and 240 wood and 300 gold for Norse. It used to be 100 food 300 wood 300 gold Norse vs. 100 food 400 gold for Egyptian, so it actually got WAY cheaper for Norse while very close to the same for Egyptian. Since Norse also don't spend any villager-seconds to build it, I think if Norse see their opponent go for an early TC they have almost zero reason not to just mirror and build a second TC for themselves. 7. Do Slingers still have a bonus vs. Throwing Axemen? AFAIK Throwing Axemen are not considered a "Ranged Soldier" as they label archers in this game but are simply classified as Infantry, and, for example, Toxote have their bonus against Infantry and thus Throwing Axemen but Peltast do not. I mention this because these new number-changed Throwing Axemen for Loki are very very capable of shredding all infantry including Egyptian Axemen. They have very high ranged damage vs. infantry now.

Feels like a pretty horrible match up for loki. Priest and axeman is enough for ra to hold on and then their econ is just way better.

I don't think so, I must admit! Mito was doing very well in terms of strategy, but throughout most of the game, he was housed and had lots of resources in the bank. Look at the difference in resources in the bank at 12:30. Kimo has around 950 resources in the bank while Mito has 2300 and 66 favor. That means 1350 resources and 63 favor more unused than Kimo. If he had spent those resources on getting a bigger army, and made sure to not be housed to keep his auto-queue going throughout the game, I think he would have been successful.

Of the three level bars while spectating in the top HUD, what does the first one tell you? The one with the "resources" logo.

Total resources I assume, it includes queued units and improvements.

I think it tells you the total value in resources of the players army. So if you have five units that cost 50 food and 30 gold each, it should display 400=(30+50)*5. But I am not 100% sure if I am right tho ;)

From a tactical standpoint, is it better to build Ra's second TC at home in the Retold version? It's more stable and can benefit from the Pharaoh's monument bonus.

Empowerment on TC doesn't speed up vill production so you're basically just getting an extra dropsite. It'll probably depend on the matchup. If you're against a really aggressive god, 2nd TC in your base, if not 2nd TC on settlement.

2:33 I assume the main reason to not make an Ox Cart that is 50 food and 50 wood + some idle time is to age up quite a bit faster, no?

@@Bennerboi Resource lost on walking time is huge. To a straggler tree is around 2-3 seconds each way. Call it 5 seconds. You pay for the oxcart in 200s of gather time on the tree. In other words, 2 vills gathering you pay the oxcart off in 1:40 + 20 second build time (can't remember the build time) but let's estimate 2 minutes. In other words I don't think you're age up is going to be quicker by skipping the ox cart.

I think the problem with norse players is that they are playing like savages,when was the last time you saw Loki player for example had huge economy and proper base and city,if you look on minimap it is very sparse in blue colour than it in in red if you know what i mean?Red player simply had much better economy,idk what you say Boit?

Great hall trains different units. RC, Hersir, Godi and Jarl. Longhouse trains the other stuff! Makes it a little easier to scout what Norse is training.

They decided that barracks that can train ulfsark, raiding cavalry, hersir and throwing axeman was really bad for the past 20 years so they pushed them closer to the other pantheons and now they have to make 2 production buildings like the rest :( Ancient Greek has 4 military production buildings. Ancient Egypt has 3 military production buildings. Norse has 3 military production buildings (originally 2). Atlantean has 3 military production buildings. So much for asymmetry.

Why does this game have villager auto Que? Seems like a really bad feature. Being able to produce vills while under pressure adds a lot of skill.

the problem is that it's not a strategic decision. It is almost 100% wrong to idle tc, so it's just busywork. The same reason why vils don't idle after they finish cutting down a tree. Sure it would add a lot of "skill", but it's not engaging or strategic skill. Just busywork
