Bojji, a deaf, powerless prince who cannot even wield a children's sword. As the firstborn son, he strives hard and dreams of becoming the world's greatest king. However, people mutter about him behind his back as "a good-for-nothing prince" and "no way he can be king." Bojji is able to make his first ever friend, "Kage" (shadow) - a literal shadow on the ground who somehow understands Bojji well. (Kage is a survivor of the Kage assassin clan that was all but wiped out. No longer a killer, Kage now makes ends meet by stealing.) The story follows Bojji's coming-of-age as he meets various people in his life, starting with his fateful encounter with Kage.

Desha killed the kid because he didn't want it to suffer anymore. The mercs were tormenting it and instead of telling them to stop which would be like "wtf is this guy taking about", he just up and killed the kid so it wouldn't suffer anymore. Also the dogs were protecting bojji and when Desha didn't retaliate the dogs "were like oh ok, maybe this guy isn't a threat."

The dogs were trying to protect boji by attacking king Desha but they stop because Desha is the king of the underworld and they live in the underworld,so Desha is their King.

Well, you might not see it at first glance but the captain did call him "Prince Ouken" when they captured him. This family makes my heart aches. Desha is willing to do the worst in order to stop it, even if it tears him apart. As Ouken puts it, he has the mental strengh to accept bad things happen in war. Despa could have never end this war with his idealism. And Desha is taking the blame to himself. People seem to love him, making a statue for him that he smashed because he can cope with the face he inherited from his father. It's painful to see how much they want to free Ouken from his immortality. And yet, they weren't able to kill him so that he would still have his humanity. I feel like a lot of people have understand Miranjo wrong. Love doesn't have to be romantic. We saw with Daida that she knows him since she was a kid. By the way, her backstory at this point is having her face riped off and her hands cut. That's what the illusion Daida saw told us. So sure, she might have become colder after that. Bosse may have took pity on her and travel with her. He's the one who couldn't bear the price of his strengh, he knew what was going to happen. But everything is easier when you don't have that price into your hands yet. Not saying she hasn't done wrong stuff. But it is understandable.

@@soultaker067 In a real world example: it's like being the spitting image of your father, who was the one that traumatized your mother and brothers. They see you and have a slight heart attack, even though they realize it's you, you just being you still gives them a sense of dread simply looking like the man that struck fear into their hearts. This next part is a theory part on my part, feel free to stop reading here... . . . . Desha is a good man and he probably keeps himself out of Rank 1 so he doesn't lose his mind like so many other Rank 1 Kings had before. And by doing so and remaining at Rank 2 keeps the bar so high that only those with exceptional parameters can even get to Rank 1.

@@ZenAki I like that theory. My only argument against it is, would the #1 spot be allowed to be vacant like that? Like in most systems/rankings ever, I don't think there can be an absence of a #1, or any other placement in between until last place (of course barring tied placements that cause a skip; i.e. two people tied for 2nd, making the next placement 4th). However, given the context of the series, maybe since it's a big choice becoming #1 (potentially risking insanity), maybe whoever runs the system allows you to decline becoming #1, which in your theory if you're #2 would make it harder for someone else to come and claim it. Or, another possible theory could be that there is actually someone occupying the #1 slot; maybe they're still sane enough to keep their spot/kingdom.

in my opinion, overall he’s also stronger than Bojji, yes in a 1v1 Bojji can beat anyone (besides Ouken).But if lets say there’s a group of enemies attacking Bojji, he wouldn’t be able to handle it as well as Desha with his op Lightning.

@@toby4414 I don’t agree, Bojji’s swiftness is highly effective and quick almost as much as the lightning. If anything Bojji might just use more stamina facing a group. In the end Desha Isn’t stronger, his only superiorities to Bojji are intelligence and range of attack.

My theory is that Satun made a pact with the Demon God almost like Bosse did and that's how Ouken turned immortal and why Desha and Despa want the Demon God dead.

The Gate of the Underworld is made out of the dead bodies of the Kage clan. Remember when Kage's mum said that *he* (this one goofy dude who got her killed) must've said something to the King for the Kage Clan to be hunted down. Making us think that he told the King about how their dead bodies can be used as Gateways/Portals. And to what location the portal is connected makes it pretty realistic that it was Satun who ordered them to kill the Kage Clan to be able to get to Bosse's Kingdom to talk to the Demon God about his dream of Immortality, for the Demon God at that time was located at the place Miranjo "trained" Apeas, also where the Frozen Monsters are. Just connecting some dots and theorizing xd

I'm new to the anime world, I've tried watching the top-tier ones like one piece and got bored pretty quickly and there are a few of them that got me interested like demon slayer, attack on titan, dr. stone.. but this one... this one anime hits so hard, every character is so interesting, and the plot twist is very satisfying. if anyone of you knows some similar anime like this, please let me know.

I'd give one piece another shot but this time look up One Pace it is a version that speeds through all the slow pacing and modernizes it. One piece has been going on for more than 1000 episodes and for good reason. 90% of it isnt filler and the world building is the best youll get for a while. That said I personally had trouble too not being bored but just the look and feel of one piece. That said just watch a few arcs via their movies, skim some wiki's etc. Youll wanna be SURE you dont like one piece cause once they reveal WHAT one piece is, twitter will spoil it and that's the whole plot. They are gonna reveal it it seems like this year or next and the series seems like it will end in like 5 more years. Anyway, suggestions for modern stuff based off stuff you like. Jujutsu kaisen, hunter x hunter, berserk movies, samuria shamploo, ghost in the shell movie. Im casual as well but most stuff i watched as a kid, and i catch trending stuff here or there. Its good to watch slow stuff once in a while or the classics like one piece even if its kinda dated and slow. Makes you respect things more. Also watch avatar the air bender (give it a few eps cause it seems childish but is mature and deep). Basically anything above 8.5 on most sites. Things i suggested are atleast 8.5-9/10

@Devansh singh(sus) Mob is good but its slow at the beginning and newer watchers like OP are usually spoiled by fast moving plots and good seasonal animation/stories. If they hated one piece then they got no patience for the build up even if Mob is only 24 eps or so. Mob also has a great second season. Maybe i hate to say this...like a jo jo skipper they could skip and watch some season 2 eps to get interested. :(. Yu yu hakushos is a good oldschool one they can try but thats also slow by today's standards but animation is classic gritty hand drawn.

I just want to say that the story is nice it's just maybe the story progression is very slow compared to the first ones that I watched, I stopped at ep15 and I think I'm gonna give it a try again after I finished Hero Academia. @@zed4833 No nope you are 100% ok with what you said on one piece. I wish more were blunt about it and respectful like you. One-piece gets good but people need to be more honest and remember it's old and slow in comparison to today. It feels kiddy. The good stuff mostly comes over time. And i know it sounds corny but yeah its true it's worth it. BUT YES find some way to skim one piece. I watch in 2x speed or watch the movies which sum up entire arcs in one movie. So you can skip a few eps. They have a movie for 3 arcs. The original movies are also entertaining without all the slow pacing. Watch the movies at around movie 3-13 and you'll get an idea of one piece characters. You don't need to watch every episode. You just need that hook. Finally, the reason one piece hits people is cause after a while you see a world filled with very powerful people who use their abilities in silly yet unique ways. A guy who can cut boats apart in one swing, a guy who can send meteors, a guy who turns people into toys, dragons, etc. There's a set level cap, 4 emperors from day one rule the sea but are at balance by 3 world government captains who control ice, gravity, and magma. Then you have your cooky main heroes in the middle just going on adventures. The later islands are better than the starting ones. There are islands in the sky, islands made of food, islands of old day japan on top of mountains in an upstream river. Islands split in half cold and volcano, islands of all toys, Arabia, all snow, giants, etc. It's not 1000 chapters deep for no reason. BUT YES IT IS TUFF TO KEEP WATCHING cause its slow, sometimes boring, and outdated because they slow it down to never pass the manga.
