Beautiful work. Nice to focus on one component, with the whole engine forming a backdrop. To think that each part of those engines has had similar design, revision and workmanship to get them working so well. You are very inspiring. Happy New Year to you, also.

I remember using a gasoline patio lantern which had a preheat vapour generator. It had a pressure fuel tank which was pumped up to about 20-30 psi. To start it up you would open the fuel valve all the way and light up the fuel coming out the bottom of the generator. Sometimes the burning fuel would drip onto the floor below the lantern. It took about 30 seconds to preheat the generator before the lantern lit up.

Find you are awesome ! i lover every one of your videos ! i actualy just bought a vcomplete new lathe and setup to start making some engines, but i think a blow lamp would be a good beginner project !

I've recently came across your website and I find your work to be absolutely amazing. You do such a beautiful job on your engines and even the fine details like the oilier and blowlamps. Is there any chance of getting dimensional drawings/plans for things like your injectors, these blowlamps, or your governor? I will certainly be going through your videos and trying to learn as much as I can so I can eventually build my own engine.
@associatedblacksheepandmisfits4 жыл бұрын
beautiful workmanship ! do you do your own casting for the engines ? I used a similar jet for a carbide lamp , but annealed the copper beforehand.piano wires are useful for all sorts of modelling. Tak tak.

Any chance prints, and or castings are available for your diesel engines?
@douro203 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately he doesn't make castings; his engines are all welded and soldered together. He won't talk much about his injectors because it is a very difficult problem making them and getting them to work properly.

@@douro20 it is actualy a bit a shame we cant get hands on at least a few minor plans like injector and combustion chamber sdesin and hot bulbs. but on the other side is understand Find 110%. i would probably also be peoud and not share my plans so they end up like a little prostitute in the world wide web and getting handed over from one to another without paying respect t the designer and founder of thr plans. i cant imagine hoe many hours he has spent , testing his nozzles, injectors and pumps, timing etc....this time ...it would all be sucked up if somebody gets a plan, like u get knowledge for doing nothing thats the point i totaly understand
