This entire project is so deeply, beautifully chilling and haunting in such an endearing way. From the beautifully brutal imagery (particularly towards the beginning) to the impeccable singing (special note to the "It seemed like NOTHING had happened, NOTHING was here") and the almost scary instant stop at the end, I was absolutely gripped and moved by the whole song. Oops, I thought the anniversary for this song was May 25, but it was March 25. Oopsies.... (in USA, in JP might be 26th) ... Still, I'm glad ... this song is how it is. It scares me a little~ How fast the time has flown, for a song about death and then, a disappearance. La di da~ The ending still haunts me so much. But I'm glad to have voyaged through every dream.

I have a slightly different interpretation based a bit off of yours: I think this song is about a self destruction, but not necessarily a desired or an intentional one. The singer knows what he’s doing or what’s happening to him will destroy him, but in the end it’s a forgone conclusion. I wonder if in the end he’s accepted what will happen to him? There are some little themes I find scattered about the song too. A bit of art block, and possibly a lack of self confidence appear to be here. The singer seems to struggle with expressing his feelings in a beautiful manner too. My interpretation here may all just be sweet nonsense words though~ (Ah, this is my favorite Itoki Hana song.)
