The story was Eric was with Beth when he and Stephanie hooked up in University, Beth was always resentful about losing Eric to her until she died in 2010. The Massimo thing was Bell trying to feed his incest fantasies. Bell Jr has a very incestuous. The Massimo thing was never brought up in 2001. I don't watch the show anymore, but I'm pretty sure no one ever refers to Ridge as a Marone, not that they ever really did
