May be fans who disagree, but according to the story Brooke is deeply in love with Nick and was willing to let Ridge go for him. Even when Nick was married to Taylor and Brook was with Ridge, neither one of them could let the other go. It was Nick who was Brooke's "destiny" not Ridge. The writer's just had to re-write their story because Wagner left the show.

@@shiningarmor8709 Me too! I ceased watching the show when the writers broke them up. For a long time, I rooted for Brooke and Ridge but Stephanie interfered so much that I was done with them! They ruined Nick's character to prop up Ridge's character time after time. And, when they had a child together, all that build up, then Brooke went back to Ridge. It was all for nothing. Just stupid. I liked boring Ridge with boring Taylor, and alive Nick with alive Brooke.

Why are they making ketie so stupid, she is really trying to get briget to go after a man whose marriage just ended because he is still in love with Bridget's mother.i hate triangle in soap because the narrative is usually simplified so much,it becomes who is the villain, who is the victim, when its f/f/m one woman became the villain, the one woman became the victim and the man bares no responsibility, and apparently when it's 2 men and a woman ,one man became the victim, the woman Stay the villain because God forbid we don't blame the woman.
