Watching these earlier episodes makes me fully understand the Bridge relationship, he treated her like a option when she treated him like a priority. Brooke needed someone to tell her the truth.

Yeah, the writing is pretty blunt that Brooke was Ridge's second choice behind Caroline in the first few years of the show. There were so many moments where Brooke had to beg Ridge to say he loved her and he either didn't say it back or begrudgingly said it back. Also, a lot of subtle hints and moments where other characters would be talking about Brooke being this important thing for Ridge, but he'd obviously be thinking about Caroline.

@@drlee2Ridge was also in love, married and had kids with Taylor which didn’t help their (Bridge) relationship. Ridge has played with Brookes feelings for years. I don’t care for her, but I don’t agree with how he treated her. Always going back and forth with Taylor and Brooke!

@@hraslan As much as I agree that loving someone desperately is unhealthy. I don't think at this point, Brooke loved Ridge unhealthy. All the times, she has been prepared to walk away from him, shows she is not desperately in love with him. I am not saying this as a Brooke fan, as a therapist, I know most women would have excused Ridge's behaviour by saying he has been shot and he is confused. They would have stayed and tried to make things work out. Brooke is maintaining a pretty normal life, she has just returned from her career' symposium, she mantains healthy relationships with her siblings and takes good care of herself. Contrary to popular belief, Ridge is not Brooke's only focus. The person whom I believe has a toxic relationship with Ridge is Caroline. Ridge cheated on her prior to their wedding, she got assaulted, Ridge did not reach out to her, he wrote her to say he loves her, after she was assaulted and marrying Thorne. If Ridge cared or loved Caroline like people say, why did he not write the letter after Caroline got assaulted to give his comfort and support to her. To apologize for the pain he caused, he was not there to support her. Ridge wrote a letter about his feelings and him, wanting to be with her, his wants. Then she believes Ridge loves her 😳😳😳. Caroline has been to a hospital, found herself in a bar with a stranger she took home because she was stressed about her break up with Ridge, Ridge wanted to sleep with her best friend whilst engaged to her. Are all this, acts and proof of someone who loves her? Let's say for argument sake, we will go with the Pro-Cridge stance, Ridge loves Caroline. If that is love, it is a very unhealthy and painful love. I will take Ridge's love for Brooke any day, lots of positive behaviour, lots of laughs, lots of fun, courtesy and no cheating, with Zero "I love you".

@@Esi528 she is no doubt trying to accelerate her advancement at the same time. She is literally strategizing. If/when it works she will be parading like she owns Stephanie... in Stephanie's house.

@@Esi528 From one perspective, I can understand a WOMAN's motive. She will want to know where and be assured of where things are heading. It's kinda ironic at the same time that most of the time, it's the woman who is in this sort of situation. Here, Brooke is talking to Thorne, she's talking to Storm about it, and saying that something changed while she was in Chicago. Yet, she has not spoken to Ridge about anything. She has not asked the pertinent question about where their relationship is headed, now that she is living with him. There's no harm in asking that. I expect either of the two parties to think about that at some point. But be observant of the conversation with Thorne and the conversation with Storm. They are both geared towards the same expected outcome, but different motives are driving her decision to move back home. She wants Ridge to go down on bended knee. She talks about insecurities with Thorne and she talks about "the life she has always dreamed about", separate and apart from the fact that she says that she loves Ridge "desperately". So, I do see and understand the actions and behaviours of a woman in this situation. The character, Brooke Logan has a twisted agenda, and continuously playing the victim, creating a situation that gives a sense that she prevailed. Ridge already makes it known to Thorne that she would be back within one night - because her presence is self-serving to him. He is already reading between the lines of Caroline's words and the lack thereof, but he cannot just go and snag her to his content. Brooke is his tool to feel relevant and desired and not go sneaking off into hotel rooms. Ridge is Brooke's meal ticket and trump card to wave in Stephanie's face that Ridge realises he cannot live without her, and to justify to Caroline that she tried to keep their deal that Ridge would not ever learn about the letter. You might recall that in a second confrontation about the letter with Caroline, she is reminded of the terms of that agreement that she was supposed to stop seeing Ridge and Brooke tries to defend herself that Ridge is the one who continued to pursue her (as if she had no choice); except, the conditions of that agreement had nothing to do with whatever actions Ridge would engage to hold on to Brooke and he was never part of the agreement to stop seeing Brooke. No, this is all on Brooke. So she is playing the situation to be self-serving and to justify that she is important to Ridge, no matter what Stephanie and Caroline tell her or threatens to do. After all, this is all perfectly normal in the scheme of being "desperately" in love, isn't it?

The Doc has no standard solution for Caroline's issue. Unfortunately (from Caroline's point of view) - but really it is "fortunately" a therapist won't just tell you what choice you have to make, won't dictate your life - won't tell you what person you have to love. "Being in love with two men" isn't something that you will just solve in 50 minutes/ one session.

No concern about the gun (that had been used to shoot Ridge) and if it should be kept there in the Mansion? Where the police still might find it if they would have a warrant and look for it, where it might be used again if Thorne gets his memory back (or Ridge might retaliate if he learns the truth?).

@@Esi528 And if it is a registered gun, then they can't get rid of it either without causing suspicion. - (my son got shot but I had lost my gun and hadn't filed or mentioned it before 🤔) - that would be bad too in an investigation. But I would at least put the gun into a safe that no one else can open, if I have to worry that one son still might assault the other over what has happened (be it the drunk ONS with the other brother's wife (Thorne) or having been shot by his own brother (Ridge)).

@@Esi528 No hiding. She grabbed the gun from the ground when she found Ridge and wondered if it was her gun. Then she looked at the place where she always keeps it (next to her bed) and when she saw that it was missing (her gun) she put it back. It is the same place where it has always been (the place Thorne had taken it from).

V Comments : Stephanie does things for a reason. She saw that Lt Burke will bring a wedge between Ridge & Thorne by telling him Thorne shot Ridge. It will destroy her family. Lt Burke knows too much & so she stopped the investigation. Eric doesn't that the man who shot Ridge who he wants him to pay is his own son Thorne. Brooke left the house until Ridge comes home is quite a good move & S doesn't like her.

Well I see the reason in telling Eric you would have to because letting Eric in on the secret for like a better word helps and make sense of why Stephanie wants to stop the investigation and telling Eric she has another person that understands or she's coming from so she's not alone and if she doesn't want her son to go to jail then she needs somebody on her side to help stop it otherwise Eric would be helping put his own son in jail and she was saying it's not right but I see why
