FUN FACT! The role of Sally Spectra played by the amazing Darlene Conley was supposed to last 13 weeks. But the character became so popular........ You know the rest! Also it was a "recurring" role. Until Macy Spectra came to town.

It's amazing to see how the Spectras develop over the next year or so as their characters are fleshed out and reach their true potential. Sally seemed to be intended more like a "villain" type for the first few episodes, but pretty soon the character outgrew that narrow role thanks to the wonderful Darlene Conley. Saul and Darla started out as just quirky employees but soon became Sally's true and loyal friends. And Macy's cold attitude towards Sally when she first came to town peeled away over the weeks and months that followed as their relationship developed into possibly the warmest and closest mother/daughter relationship this show has ever had.

@@Esi528 It’s hard to know. Flannery had great chemistry with McCook, Moss, Lang and others. She should have earned an Emmy much earlier than 2000 for her B&B work, but alas the 30 minute shows were penalized back then during the nomination process. Susan Seaforth Hayes was originally offered the role, I think. I only saw a few of her performances as Joanna Manning (Lauren’s mom) on Y&R. I haven’t seen any of her many years Of work on DAYS. I liked what I saw but it’s impossible to imagine anyone else as the great Stephanie Forrester.

@Bourg Productions Fun or rather a beautiful Fact: Darlene Conley died in Ronn Moss' arms at her home.Many of the cast members were at Darlene' s house, the family had called them to say it looks like her last moments, t Ronn was late, because he went to call Windsor Harmon (who played Thorne) he said, he prayed for Darlene to wait for him (not to pass away without him seeing her to say goodbye) and when he got there, after some time with her, Darlene Conley died in Ronn Moss' arms 💙❤💖.I love Ronn, in KKL' s words, he is a true gentleman.

If a company executive suspected something suspicious they'd have to call the school they attended to retrieve records, otherwise people could just pass along to get jobs like that. The storyline had problems. Lol I keep wondering why Donna isn’t more concerned about running into Caroline who shared a bedroom with her for months at the Logan house in 1987. And how did she get a fake ID and passport (she was going to travel to London) with her alias? She should have focused on Nick and school. She’d have done well. We’ll see where she ends up once this storyline is over.

I liked their interactions/connection and I had wondered if Bill had romantic feelings for Donna or just appreciated her as a young and enthusiastic employe that he could confide in, but Donna's lies have really ruined their relationship in the end. I said it before, but even Donna's "Christmas gift" for Bill had a fake name on it ("from Jamie), so Bill really had to think that everything just had been fake and a part of Donna's "revenge". If it had went differently, it could have become an interesting working relationship. Donna, as Bill's assistant would have been empowered and could have had more screen time (similar to Margo with her boss Eric, interactions with Eric's son Ridge) and even Bill might have had profited from that (as Bill Jr. has Alison and Justin to confide in, use them). So Donna faded away after some time (until they brought her back and gave her more screen time when paired with Ridge, Thorne, Eric).
