Has she been the nanny for Ridge and his siblings? - When James suggested to Brooke that Brooke should look if Ridge is up for a break and willing to join them, I first thought that James was suggesting to look after the children in the meantime. But no, James then talked about his plan to go and talk to Stephanie in the meantime - and James didn't mention Maria as the one looking after the kids. Brooke was the one who asked Maria after James had already left. James not wondering or mentioning who would look after the kids, had been a little bit weird. How many visits have they already done with Maria looking after the kids? Is James already so used to Maria taking over the babysitting duties that he doesn't even mention her or wonders if she might do it?

The man is essentially an academic, and yet he clearly has no clue how to conduct research. The only smart move he makes in this story is approaching Jay Garvin who Sheila kills anyway. I think Brooke is the best thing that ever happened to Ridge, because even though he made her suffer and whenever he didn't care about how Brooke could "heal" she never abandoned him in times of need!! ! She was there for him when Caroline died (and don't say she did it for personal gain because she was convinced at the time that she loved Eric and what she did was only because she wanted to help Ridge get over Caroline's death).. .and now as then after Taylor's death she is trying to help him, surely she still loves him but has no expectations and is trying to move on with her life with James!!! She could have taken advantage of the situation knowing that eventually Ridge would give in but that's not what she's looking for...she wants to love and be loved sincerely and more than any other person in the world!!!

Then we had Ridge starting on his agenda to befriend Brooke again and to get control of FC back (Taylor: Ridge, you prostitute yourself) and Brooke and Ridge focused on work/flirtation and not any kids. Then the drama with James/Taylor being trapped in Europe, Bridge set to go to Europe to open up FI / Taylor trapped at the cabin/ Taylor's death.When did they have time and any desire for happy family time together at the pool?
