Sure, he's not supposed to date the models and all. But it really isn't plausible that he would be more attracted to Jessica than to Ivana. It's not just Jessica's age (Ivana is only about 2 years older) but her overall childishness and awkwardness, and Dylan is in college. It kind of feels like he notices Jessica because she is a Forrester.

So it is *routine* for LT Burke to question all of Dr. Garvin's patients, even the ones who had stopped therapy a year ago? The "routine" answer didn't really explain why Sheila then would be questioned on the same day of the death - _when the police doesn't even know yet if it had been murder or suicide_ - except if the doctor didn't have that many patients during the whole last year. But yes, Burke couldn't tell Sheila that Stephanie and James had sent him towards Sheila.

What I'm enjoying about Mike and Sheila today is that they're like a throwback to a '40s noir film (just like Sally's a throwback to the Hollywood of glamorous, overacting dames like Gloria Swanson, Bette Davis or Joan Crawford). In Mike and Sheila's noir, he's the wisecrackin' gullible gumshoe, and she's the dangerous femme fatale. Actually, come to think of it, Sally and Clarke had that classic '30s/'40s screwball comedy thing going on as well. These throwbacks to classic cinema give the writing and B&B as a whole a bit of nuance and some extra layers. I guess that makes Stephanie the frosty Hitchcock blonde.

Sheila did good in her questioning with Burke. Aside from of course totally omitting the obvious, she was truthful about everything else to do with Garvin and therefore hasn’t left any doors open in that regard for Burke to follow up. It’s only that cretin Mike who’d stuff it up for her about what actually happened that day… although, if the manner of death was still undetermined, Burke (in reality) would check more closely on Sheila’s whereabouts just to completely rule her out as a suspect. Of course, he would still have James and Steph trying to convince him that Garvin told James Sheila was a lunatic.
