If Brooke thinks that Ridge (or Eric) now care about the children, she is in for a bad awakening. Ridge's mind has been totally focused on the drama with his wife - and Ridge even stayed back at the hospital in Big Bear to play taxi for James and then caretaker. Eric is spending more and more time with his ex-wife Stephanie - and has already done his round at the Forrester Mansion to check for any damage. In the meantime nurse/babysitter Jenny is somewhere taking care of the kids who are ill and don't sleep and eat since the earthquake.

Brooke just told him that both of her kids are ill and not able to fly - and Thorne still kept talking about how they were supposed to be coming tomorrow and if she was not bringing them to Paris now. I would have asked Thorne if Stephanie and Eric really have dragged their children onto International flights and Europe trips, while they had the flu and ear infections. 😏

If the kids hadn't been ill, I would have sent Thorne back to LA, to get away from his mood. Brooke is the CEO and major shareholder, but Thorne talks to Brooke as if he is the boss and has the right to question the motives and reasons for Brooke's decisions. And not once Thorne even makes it about any important business meetings/events that would make it necessary for the CEO to stay in Paris.

James moving into the guest room brings Stephanie into the Ridge/Taylor/James storyline and finally breathes some LIFE into it. She immediately perceives the danger and calls it out. We're used to Stephanie being the expression of Taylor's ID, but this time she's expressing RIDGE'S suppressed fears and insecurities. Ridge should really be more suspicious of James but he's not acting like himself at all. And it's a smart decision by the writers to have Stephanie fill in that gap since she's she's a powerful Storyteller and portrayed by a powerful actress i.e. someone who can buttress this limp trio.

Beverly hills is no way near Big Bear, and Stephanie should of said the Forrester family cabin is for my family and I and no one is allowed on the property unless a family member is there, and James your not getting out easy it was you that encouraged Taylor that Ridge can't be trusted after Ridge repeatedly told his wife that their will never be a Ridge and Brooke I am committed to my marriage and I love you (Taylor). Taylor was very wrong in this situation, because she could of came across the court yard and talk with Stephanie instead of saying "this house don't even feel like a home anymore" and follows James order's to the cabin Ridge's mother and father owned so James can get what he wanted "sex".
