Then there was Ridge as she struck a deal with Morgan... Now it's Eric and Rick as she goes to talk to Amber.

But she is quite like Mandy Moore (even a bit in looks with the hair and shiny pouty lips and everything)... Not a great singer, but adequate enough. (incidentally I preferred Mandy Moore's acting more than I did her singing, esp more recently in This is Us).

Thorne has always been quite obsessive over the women in his life who have once been Ridge's. He was deeply obsessive (and possessive) over Caroline. Then he was obsessive over Taylor, even to the point of being mad she wouldn't put his name on Thomas birth certificate. Now, it's this inexplicable obsession over being with Brooke. Ironically, Macy, who was the only woman who really cared for him, Thorne has never been like this about.

I expect to see that more on Kelly Taylor on BH 90210. They just somehow can't seem to get the styling right on Brooke as a woman who has apparently risen from valley girl to corporate executive. They're way too focused on trying to give her "s E x appeal" bc, in my opinion, she doesn't have any naturally. Maybe they don't care what she wears bc she's just going to be taking it off most times anyway 💁🏽‍♀️

It's funny how in the beginning of this season we were all saying how much stronger the writing was compared to S8. And now it's really gone downhill, and we're already starting to see the beginning of the end of classic B&B, with Massimo arriving during the next season. Macy dying changed the feel of the show. 2002 was stronger, I think, but Taylor dying REALLY shifted things. Maybe the producers and Brad thought the show had to shift families in order to stay viable. “Little Eric” should come back to B&B. He’s Steffy and Thomas’ age. :-)

Watching this now, I wonder if Brad had initially envisioned turning Kimberly into the next Brooke (she's already onto her next Forrester). But that idea died when the audience was (rightly) turned off by the off-putting Lolita vibes of this storyline. With no direction in sight, Kimberly was then written off the show.

I think we’re all on board with the stories getting dumb, so I’m enjoying the comments section and the little lines. Stephanie: “Eric, are you again keeping things from me that you should be telling me?” (me, reading the subtext: “Because I’m the only one with enough brains to do anything about it.l Thorne: “This thing with Bridget is between me and her, Brooke! It has nothing to do with you!” (Me: “Fair enough. It’s not like she ever has much of a hand in raising her kids, other than using them as pawns in her romantic schemes.”) Brooke: “Now, what were we about to do?” (Me: “The one thing you’re good at, I assume.”) Laughed so hard at Kimberly singing. She had that Mandy Moore, Britney knock-off voice all the pop girl singers had in 2000. Amazing how cloned the all sounded.

Kimberly's singing was def Mandy Moore - ish! I was trying to figure out which pop singer of that era she reminded me of...Mandy was an OK singer, but she wasn't a great singer by any stretch of the imagination (Christina was a great singer, but you wouldn't have known it bc of what the record labels at the time had her singing). I, too, am enjoying the comments more than the show itself. I may soon drop off altogether by possibly the next season bc I think the writing is just too wayward. I'm also enjoying Steph being back on the driver's seat of stories, as ridiculous as they are, to bring solutions.

But it is jarring to see it happening as part of the show's reality. She has a very "pop princess" like voice which works for the era, but doesn't have much range.
