It's a very telling comment. Brooke, thinking she has now won Stephanie's approval, expects Stephanie's _unconditional_ support. But Stephanie makes it clear, with that eloquent "why?", that she will follow her own mind, not Brooke's.

A difference in power: back in Season 5, Stephanie ordered Brooke not to show Eric the forged letter and Brooke grumbled but complied. Now Brooke begs Stephanie not to show Rick the photos and Stephanie immediately steals them and goes over to show Rick. 😆

@@NewYorkNick0607 absolutely! Brooke wants nothing more than Stephanie's acceptance, but Brooke's acceptance means absolutely nothing to Stephanie.

I kind of love that Stephanie is simultaneously completely ignoring Brooke's attempts at dictating her actions, while also telling Rick to be respectful of his mother and trying to smooth things over between Brooke and Rick. Mostly I love it because it seems to completely destabilize Brooke, who cannot figure out how to deal with nuance. To her, if Stephanie isn't yelling or being hostile, it means Stephanie is totally in lockstep with her.

I'd almost believe Brooke was sincere, that her main concern was Rick being too young to be settling down.... Except.. When Rick just started college and was younger than 20, she was more than pushing Kimberly to be with Rick. I have to wonder, if Rick and country club Amanda had done the deed and Amanda ended up pregnant from that one night stand, would Brooke be singing the same tune? I'm 100% sure she'd welcome Amanda, baby and all. She just wants to get rid of amber, not bc of anything Amber has done in the past, but bc she really thinks Amber is low class (even tho Amber hasn't slept thru the Forrester dynasty). I could really have a modicum of respect for Brooke if she was just honest about why she went thru all this deception.

Thinking about this, Thorne marrying Brooke was the worst thing for Winsor Harmon. He had no storyline after that. Once we only saw Thorne and Brooke sleeping together or commenting on other storylines I knew the marriage was so doomed. Brooke will have a perpetual storyline but Thorne not so much…

This is just it. With the exception of the initial Ridge/Caroline/Thorne triangle, Thorne has never really had a viable storyline other than his relationship with Macy.

Here we go again. Miss Logan wants to act. @0:24 Look at all those lamps behind her, and her dress matches the door. (Not that she can compete with those knockers). Such dramatic lighting. A table lamp on each side of her girls and a heart-shaped chandelier to prove she's passionate about her sensible new hairdo. And, right on cue, slaps her right hip. And then at 1:22 exhales in exhaustion because she can't define the word "moot." She thinks it's a river around The Valley Mall.

We have Stephanie at the same time understanding Brooke and defending her to Rick, while still being on opposite sides and Stephanie focused on reuniting Amber and Rick and getting them married. 🙃

Steph better borrow that private eye to find Taylor... Bc really... Ridge seriously doesn't know his wife at all. After getting fooled into thinking Taylor would tell him to go impregnate another woman the natural way... He's really going to believe Taylor wouldn't want him to look for her and she'd just run away? And then call off the search less than an hour after calling the police bc Taylor so happened to call to tell him not to call the police?

By the way, didn't Rick just hire a private detective to find Deacon a few months ago? And now he hires a detective because Deacon ran off with his girlfriend? They must be laughing at Rick over at the detective agency. 😂

Stephanie for once worries if something (the PI is doing) is legal? 😅 Since she didn't really was that concerned about forging a letter or bugging the lab, having the patent lawyer spying on an employe or getting that employe to sign a backdated contract, I assume it is just that Stephanie wants to know if Jonathan should be on call if needed.

This Deacon character is a clown and a completely unnecessary plot device to bring Deacon and Amber closer together. There’s so much scenery chewing the furniture is gone!
