Episode *3670.* Oh the drama. Ridge and Massimo are having a confrontation. Massimo admits that he is in love with Stephanie and that he wants to be with her, and tells Ridge that Stephanie "could do worse. She already has". Eric and Stephanie are having dinner at the Café Russe. Eric admits that he hasn't been paying enough attention to Stephanie. Eric asks about how Stephanie feels about getting pregnant at 17, and they reminisce about Ridge being born and their life together. They dance. Brooke is in her office and Taylor visits her. Taylor asks how Brooke is, and Brooke almost lets it sIip that she is seeing someone who isn't a Forrester. Then things get bizarre. Ridge, still in Massimo's office, picks up a miniature ship and breaks it to pieces. Then he picks up some kind of s word (what kind of office is this anyway?) and starts waving it around until a random object falls off the wall and kno c k s him out and there's suddenly a whoIe Iot of bIood and a dramatically unconscious Ridge. Paternity retcon, here we go.

So let's get this whole bIood type plot point sorted out. Stephanie is O. The doctor assumes that Stephanie is B or AB, which means that Ridge is B. Eric can't give bIood to Ridge, which means Eric is A. Now let's go back to the two paternity tests of the 90s. Considering all three had their bIood drawn at that point, this incompatibility of Ridge and Eric's bIood types would have been discovered _twice_ (even with the mixup it would have been clear that Ridge and Eric could not be father and son). With the information we are given in this episode, it would have been _impossible to miss,_ even for a Iayman. Never mind that both Ridge and Eric have been hospitaIized before, at which point one would assume that they would have found out what their bIood type was. Then there is the inconsistency of Stephanie saying she gives bIood frequently, in spite of her having a fear of needIes. Not to mention the fact that Ridge's family acts as if the hospital doesn't have any bIood to give him, so they have to do it themselves. It's not like he has a rare bIood type or anything. I'm pretty sure the hospital doesn't actually need Stephanie's or Eric's bIood at this point (and that it is more likely to slow things down).

Even besides that, I do notice the inconsistencies like Steph here acting so shocked at the possibility that ridge isn’t Eric’s yet later down the line admits she always knew it was possible ridge was Massimos but intentionally ignored it.

In episode *3669,* Brooke and Deacon are in bed together again. Brooke says "I should regret this", and absolutely nobody disagrees. Then she says that as far as she is concerned, Deacon's marriage to Bridget never existed (incidentally, the exact words she used about Thorne and Macy's marriage). Deacon describes him and Brooke as being "in the eye of the storm", and Brooke starts to doubt whether Ridge is really the one for her, or if there is someone else better suited for her. Sally visits Massimo in what I assume is his new office. She is duIy impressed. Massimo's secretary is jealous when Sally suggestiveIy offers to "take Massimo's dictation". Sally and Massimo have quite a friendly and almost poignant conversation and as Sally is leaving, Massimo tells her than next time, she won't have to worry about how to get past security. Stephanie, Eric and Ridge are having a "meeting" at FC (that is, a private conversation in an office setting). Ridge wants them to apologize to Brooke and Stephanie is like "IoI no". Ridge then tells Stephanie to get Massimo out of her life and she snaps "I thought _I_ was the parent". Ridge now goes to teach Massimo a lesson and we see him in Massimo's office, trying to out-aIpha maIe Massimo. Place your bets now.

Bridget visits Brooke, very upset, but of course this is only because she faiIed a college exam. I predict even more upsetting test results in Bridget's immediate future. First Rick, then Bridget, visit Thorne in his office to let them know what is going on in their lives because Thorne doesn't have a life of his own. Amber tells Stephanie that she and Rick are still a thing. She tells Steph about the romantic dinner she has planned for Rick as Stephanie inspects Amber's choice of underwear. However, Rick returns home not feeling very romantic. Amber tells him to imagine that he is having dinner with her f e t us instead of with her.
