I've never been able to fully reconcile with Sheila's return in 2002. It was great to see her back, as she's one of the best soap villains ever, but it also meant the end of Taylor, the end of Tridge, and the end of one of the best B&B era.

KB is so beautiful, and a damn good actress. Sometimes actors and actresses can be “seen” acting. She always played it naturally, and everything was truthful. No matter how outrageous, the writers back then always got her “there” in a believable manner, and once she was there, she never played it like it was crazy or without conscience. I think because she played a villain (depending on your point of view) she was never considered an actress of any stature, which is too bad. The scene between her and Queen Stephanie when she knocks on the door and says “you b-tch” is right up there with Miss Logan and Deacon in the office. KB more than held her own in that scene.

I’m an Amber stan but I like Erica. She is so darn cute and I like her craftiness. She just calmly does her thing. It fits the cheaper vibe of early 00s B&B anyway. The production standards were low at this time anyway.

Sheila's character is so wasted in this storyline. Rick and Amber are not compelling enough as characters to warrant this kind of attention from Sheila. The "problem" is that Sheila is _far_ more interesting in her own right than Amber is, so I find myself rooting for Sheila because she is entertaining, and because I really don't care what happens to Amber, when it's clear that thr writers want us to think of Amber as the heroine and Sheila as the villain.

You hit the nail on the head. I used to look forward to watching these episodes to unwind everyday but now I’m just bored. Kimberlin Brown deserved better than to play second fiddle to these teeny boppers. And watching Adrienne Frantz attempt to play an addict is just cringeworthy.

Yes this is another reason I'm not a fan of this storyline. I just don't care about Rick and Amber. At least when Sheila was interfering with other couples in the past it was Ridge & Brooke and (to a lesser extent) Thorne & Macy.

Wow really? She always seems to shake things up, her more recent returns (2017 and 2021 through now) haven’t wowed me but she was an all time villain during the 90’s and in 2002 at least when everyone found out she was back in LA

Same here. Every time she shows up I could switch off because she conveys more horror than suspense and I've never been able to stand horror. Nothing about her represents even a good side. Just a complete psychopath who has brought a lot of misfortune to other people's lives.

Same. I think the actress does a really great job. But overall I’m not a fan of the Sheila character. With Sheila it’s like… we get it… She’s crazy. She sneaks around and does bad things. It’s always the same. It came from the psychological drama trend that influenced soaps. The reason I like characters like Stephanie/Brooke/Amber better as villains is because they are all crazy villains to one another but heroines from their own perspectives. They don’t have to go around committing crimes and being nefarious for it to be interesting storytelling.

The taking dirty pills completely dry is uncomfortable to watch. As if just taking those things dry would not be bad enough. She seems now like she’s so nervous if she doesn’t even have them, that seems like the symptom more than anything else. Maybe I’m missing something

Unable to find seasons 9, 11, 12, I'm clueless to some of the story lines. I don't know what happened with Taylor's stalker, or why Ridge and Brooke broke up during that era so that Taylor and Ridge got back together and had three children, nor when/how Amber entered the picture, when Sheila came back to shoot Stephanie, allowing Amber to save her. Is there a place where I can at least find a synopsis of these seasons?

When Sheila first left LA (after giving up her baby - Erica - to James and wife Jessica's mom), she moved to Furnace Creek where she met Amber as they both worked together in a diner. Amber convinced Sheila to go back and fight for her baby and she brought Amber (who had dreams of becoming a singer) to LA with her, where one thing after another happened, and eventually Amber was able to meet Brooke and get the job as the babysitter to Brooke's teenage kids. So technically, Sheila was responsible for taking Amber out of Furnace Creek
