Actually it's a smile . Bridget is explaining how she felt and JF showed so well all her character's pain and then RM /Ridge ruined that scene with a smile. 😂

This scene with Stephanie and Brooke is a perfect example of what @Nick refers to as "sitcom writing". The rivalry between the two women is being reduced to a joke, and Stephanie in particular is being made to look like a caricature. The writing in the Massimo/Nick Payne scene is equally unconvincing psychologically. Even if the captain feels that Massimo has wronged him, that is still his boss and he depends on him for his livelihood. Who would go into their boss' office for the first time, barely knowing him, light a cigar, and refuse to accept his apology? It completely omits the status imbaIance that _should_ exist in this scene, in a way that is simply not believable.

I have to say, I love when SF opened the 🍾 saying "Brooke touched a nerve" 😂 But you're right. The sitcom scene also it's a proof of SF talent while KKL acting like a du mb is not so funny. As usual she overdid. She is better when she really argue with Susan. I noticed that this time it was not Stephanie that decided to go to Brooke but Brooke herself called her in her office. She feels secure and she knows Stephanie can't win a fight where there's no Taylor around.

@@babs4848 the sitcom writing is really clear to me. I actually couldn't understand Brooke inviting Steph to her office to ask her to stand up for her at her (imaginary) wedding to Ridge. Clearly that was a bad joke. Did she forget about Thorne ? (answer... Yes, Duh! Lol) Steph's not making that mistake again. She would rather throw Brooke down the aisle of a bowling alley than walk her down the aisle at a marriage of yet another of her family members. The whole idea that Brooke would think Steph would be receptive to her, after what Steph said just the night b4, had to be meant as a very unfunny joke.

The writers wanted to introduce Nick as someone with a hot temper, ready to walk away from that job (and his mom coming to Massimo's office because she was concerned about her son's temper). I am just surprised that Nick didn't already walk out after his angry speech.

If Brooke is happy, equals she has what she wants, the unity of the family is her priority, so Stephanie has to accept her in Stephanie s family (and that's the kind of sacrifice she has been doing for a while now thamks to Hope) If Brooke can't have what she wants, to HE LL the familIES!
