As much as I like that James punched Ridge (justice for the KO Ridge did on him over Taylor)... The moment Brooke started asking Ridge what she means to him, James should have just walked out. Ridge came in there moving the goalpost as to the reason Brooke shouldn't get married... First it was James wouldn't be a good father, then he said that's irrelevant and he just doesn't want her to marry James. But I'm yet to hear Ridge say those 3 words that Brooke has been so desperate for him to willingly say to her from the beginning of time. He hasn't just said it bc he is not there out of love for Brooke, he is there out of love for his own self and getting his own way. He doesn't want to potentially lose the one woman who he is guaranteed he could NOT choose and she'd still be at his beck and call. I just don't know how Brooke can take Ridge seriously...

Again.. 🙄 Bc it's destiny 🙄🙄 Unlike what the new writers are trying to feed is, Brooke and Ridge do not have , and never have had, some torrid romance together... @@francoisekoko6068 I can just roll my eyes about Ridge's devotion for the kids that have been irrelevant when he was busy with his baby making project with Taylor, mattered so much when Taylor had died but he then wanted/ didn't want James to become the father, mattered even when neither of them had been his child but become totally irrelevant when he had seen Brooke kissing Grant. How can someone claim that they mean the world to him and that they depend on him, but then walk away without any word to them and propose to someone else? Why did Ridge never take some minutes to sit down with them and talk to them that he would not be marrying Brooke and he would not be their father any longer? Ridge proposed to Taylor in October, but in December the kids still didn't know about his change of heart and still kept asking Ridge about the family Christmas cards - Stephanie had to push Ridge to end the charade. If he had been staying with Brooke because of the kids, he should have been able to take the time to the kids to explain that the situation had changed and that he wouldn't marry their mom and would not live wit them. With children you can even talk and communicate, but these kids were just damned with their desperate mother, absent father Eric and their so caring/uncaring on-off step-dad Ridge. Being a "parent" doesn't mean to be just a playmate and use the kids whenever you need them, forget about them even when they supposedly so much need you. For several years Ridge believed Bridget to be his daughter and Bridget beloved Ridge to be her dad. Correct me if I m doing Ridge wrong here, but I don't remember Ridge ever thinking or mentioning Bridget and what that would mean for that little girl, when he had seen the Grant-Brooke kiss, later proposed to Taylor and then celebrated with his parents and Taylor with champagne.
