The final 2 minutes of this episode were very powerful and suspenseful. Seeing Eric and Taylor's face when Brooke was approaching. Brooke in shock to see Sheila when she dropped the baby bottle. The way Sheila made that turnaround psycho look at Brooke gave me the creeps. I enjoyed seeing Eric smack the hell out of Sheila after she shot Taylor and Brooke. The writing and directing was definitely spot on.

This is possibly the most shocking scene this show has ever produced. I still remember exactly where I was and how I reacted when I first watched it. And the way the tension builds to those final seconds is excellent, with the stakes being raised every time a new person enters the room. I was going to do a closer analysis of the scene but it involved too many words that algo won't let me use. In short, Taylor is being truly heroic here, sacrificing her life for Brooke. Sheila is being true to her character by _only just_ avoiding to deliberately unalive a major character (we can see by her facial expressions that she is as surprised as anyone by what ends up happening). Brooke unintentionally creates ch a os just by walking into the room. And as usual, Eric doesn't have a plan.

His "struggle" with Sheila reinforces the fact that he can't even win a fight with a 20 yo (Dylan) or a woman. Also, this whole scene is Eric's fault.. He should have listened to everyone years ago and not get involved with Sheila in the first place.

Then he showed Sheila that Taylor was in the room by gesticulating to Taylor. Then he actually _pointed the 🔫at Brooke_ when they were trying to get it away from Sheila. Then he forgot about Taylor until Brooke reminded him.

Even though the previous buildup is fIawed (as we noticed before), this one scene is really well structured, with a step by step escaIation of tension, then a breathless "calm before the storm" moment when Taylor almost manages to get through to Sheila, and finally the cIimax set in motion by Brooke dropping the bottIe (the bottle being symbolic of Hope).
