Hana'a backstory is so sad but it is also very heartwarming, how much support she found in her life, from her family and friends, helping her stay on her feet and comforting her throughout the healing process. I love Tohry, Uo and Hana's friendship. They are precious.

Your comment about Megumi being such a change from Hiro made me wish we'd had a Megumi/Hiro encounter. That would have been something. Megumi's insight on Hiro's snark could have been really interesting, and probably really funny.

Fun name thing here. Megumi means "Blessing" in Japanese. Curses are just the negative form of blessings. Also, given how impactful Tohru and Arisa have been to Saki; woe to anybody who dares try to seriously harm either of them. Even after any "wave" attack by Hana-chan; I'm pretty sure that Megumi would be more than happy to throw a curse or two on top of it. Now that I think about it... Between Saki, Arisa, and the Soma boys (three of which have martial arts training, and seem to be very proficient with it;) I don't know how anybody at that school would seriously take a shot at Tohru. It's practically a death sentence! Heck, at this point, I'm sure that even Momiji would "cut a fool" to anyone who tried anything to their Princess.

The 'n' sound in Japanese turns to an 'm' when it comes before 'b' or 'p'. It's still the exact same letter, just pronounced differently (it's easier to pronounce it that way naturally anyway). So you basically say 'Sempai', but it's written Senpai in japanese. It's like 'Tempura', for another example, written Tenpura but pronounced with an 'm'.

If you watched the 2003 series, then episode 22 was the first really new thing we had seen. That series only had the first Hana episode with the mean girls and swapped in an early season 2 episode that has more closure, since that version ended after season 1. Its pretty telling that in a series with some truly awful parents, hers are practically saints even after she almost killed someone.

I forgot how much this show makes me cry, even if I'm just watching reactions. As someone who values friendship a lot, I think what I really like about these episodes is how Tohru, Uo and Hana found each other and just started being friends (especially in this episode is great to see how much Uo has changed). Oh and the "twist" about Hana's powers being real, I had the same reaction watching it for the first time.

Btw both Senpai and Sempai are correct c: The letter ん is normally spelled in romanji as "n" but in reality it can make multiple sounds. Normally when an ん is in front of a "b/p" sound it's pronounced as "m", which is why it's spelled as such here.

FB talks about so many problems in they're backstories that I think you can identify yourslef with at least one of them. Hana is so sad and so real. The worst part is that this happens for real without any "extra" (waves) reason Now that you've reached this point and before the start of season 2, who do you think is the final pairing between the main characters? ( I ask now because after ep 23&24 is clearer, and season 2 pretty much says it)
