I love Iroh's speech here so much. Everyone, absolutely everyone needs to think on what he said. I am also positive he addressed this to himself at some point in the past also, probably when he quit being a general. He's been there, he's completely right, please everyone occasionally sit down with yourself and think on this, especially when you're at a crossroads in your life.

How many of us humans have situations like this discussion between Zuko and Iroh during our formative years? How many have not? It's such an important discussion and self revalation to recognize that we often grow up under the expectations of others. But, at some point we need to look introspectively and find our own path. Zuko's journey throughout the whole show is such a powerful view at an almost universal truth of self progress. That a kids show was able to develop it and share it with so many viewers is one of the most important aspects of this show.

​​@@shikitohno47brother, their last actual "new" post was reacting to Oshi no Ko episodes 4-5, all of the Avatar reactions are pre-recorded, same with their One Piece videos both of which seem to be set to an automated. release. So they haven't actually posted anything "new" (newly recorded) in a whole month, that's why people are getting worried. They either simply got burntout doing reactions, or something happened

Iroh, I think, was the dutiful son and father. He likely didn't agree with the Fire Nation goals, but he was a loyal soldier. He even fought alongside his only son. And, then it all came apart. He lost his son. So, now he's trying to keep Zuko from falling into the same trap of a life of killing and pillaging all in the name of the "noble" Fire Nation.

The Zuko and Iroh relationship is incredible, but now whenever I rewatch scenes like this, I can't stop thinking about how little goes into Ozai as a villain and how much Azula is played up as an object of hate when she's basically a younger Zuko if his mother was emotionally distant from him and if he didn't have Iroh. 😥

13:48 I believe a mercy killing IS the implication there, but since that obviously can't be depicted in a kid's show, it's cut off straight away from us viewers. Still kinda crazy to think they could even get away with THAT much, though.... Well, on the bright side, we have Appa back, at least. And Zuko seems to be on the verge of a turning point in his character arc.....
