We deal with this kind of ground every day up here in northern New York. We grow good rocks. Congrats on 3000 subs.

What is funny is the other side of his property doesn't hardly have a rock on it. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful evening 😀

Yep, these jobs aren't as muddy as your place is. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I have the same rig I weld those pins right on to the tooth it works grate ..after loosing 3 teeth got all new pins and weld the tips
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
Welding them definitely will keep them from slipping out, but on this job, they kept breaking. Welding them makes it hard to replace the pin when it breaks. A viewer turned me on to some different pins. I haven't gotten them yet, but when I do I will tell everyone how well they work. So far the bolts are working well. Thank you, I am not shooting your idea down, I just see it being more time consuming to put a tooth back on after a pin breaks. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for watching.

Nice job, I agree a toolbox would be handy to have. I think when the roots grow around the boulders, it makes it that much harder to pull the stumps.

Yes, they seemed to have a good grip on the rocks. Have a wonderful evening 😀

I sympathize with you regarding the pins for those teeth. On the other hand, if you can come up with a suitable aftermarket pin... I REALLY like those teeth and would like to try them out on the 057-4. My nephew's in the process of moving from his 170 acre ranch to his new, 520 acre ranch. A PERFECT time to be in Nevada instead of Arkansas and say..., "Gee I sure wish I was there to help you!" Merry Christmas to you and your family, Jeramy................

I dug a few more stumps today, and so far, the bolts are holding. Nevada does sound a little warmer. Have a very Merry Christmas 🎅

Some really rocky ground
@jeramyreberpuredirt78735 ай бұрын
Yes, it is. I have moved a few rocks that were almost more than the 40 could handle. I enjoy working at this spot, though. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀

my pc45 komatsu has bigger bucket & older. it seems weaker on stumps than this 40. it might be the little beavertooth bucket,lol. right now both joy sticks are out commission.
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
Well, hopefully, you get it back up and going. Excavators are too handy to be out of commission. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀

Nice work! Shame your having so many problems with pins. With only 1800 hrs on this ex, maybe you can hold on to it until they release a -5 model. The cabs are nicer and seal the dust better than the -4. I agree a tool box would be nice.
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
Yes I plan on running this machine to around 5000 hours. So I have time for the -5 to be available. Have a wonderful evening 😀

I do love your mixed video content, can I ask a silly question, well it might be to some, why don’t you use the ripper to break out stump and roots, have a wonderful Christmas
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
Thank you. Not a silly question at all, you can't dig with the ripper and these type stumps you have to dig deep around them to get them loose. For breaking the roots I usually pry the teeth against the roots to break them, and the ripper just buries itself instead of breaking the root. I have tried it and didn't work well for me. Thank you for watching, and have a Merry Christmas 🎅

Hey Jeramy, do you ever find yourself wanting a full size dump truck instead of the 5 yard truck? Or do you feel like the 5 yard truck is a better fit for an owner/operator with smaller amounts of hauling?
@jeramyreberpuredirt78733 ай бұрын
I have no desire to own a full-size dump truck. The 5 yrd truck is definitely not a money maker, but I couldn't live without it. I have a good friend who has a couple of 10 yrd trucks, and it is way easier just to hire them than have the expense of owning a a full size truck. I do like the little truck for tight places. You can make money with the 10 yrd trucks, but they need to work often, and I really don't like driving truck. Hopefully, I answered your question. Have a wonderful day 🙂

Thanks for the response! Definitely answered my question. I do similar size projects and used to have a full size dump truck, considering buying a 5 yard truck instead of a dump trailer though.

You need a bigger machine
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
Just priced a new KX-080 Last week. I very much want one, but the price tag tells me I don't. The 080 would have been perfect for this job. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀
@jeramyreberpuredirt78737 ай бұрын
I still would need the 040 for most of my jobs, so I can't really just have the bigger machine. But I am working on trying to get a 2nd bigger machine.
