Nice. I passed on a mid mount blade for my Simplicity many years ago. I later learned what it was and have kicked myself since. Good Luck, Rick

Thanks - the original units are hard to find in my area so the scraper blade is hand made patterned off the original hydro speed design that was offered by Bolens. The blade portion is pieces of metal welded together - not hardened steel but I figure the number of times I use it on gravel and at my age it will outlast me.

@@29chevbolenschannel40 It shouldn't be hardened steel anyway. Hardened steel tends to be more brittle and if you hit something it also might bend the frame. I have two tube frames that are bent. I ended up with an Earthcavator and am satisfied with it. I do have the collecting bug so, I still would by a mid blade if the price was right. Good Luck, Rick
