Congrats, Bolo, on getting, and maintaining Warner/Chappell's interest. Warner we all know about, but Chappell has been a towering publishing house for decade upon decade, involving a lot of the all-time hit songs/ writers.

Other sources of royalty income are Harry Fox Agency who license your songs to sources like MUZAK, Apple, etc And to get Canadian Mechanical Royalties you have affiliate with CMRRA . Another European royalty income source for performance on recordings Is PPL.. As far as advances from labels, there is a clause many are not aware of, and if you're not already established or in high demand you might not be able to secure it. That clause is a NRB, Which is a Non Recoupable Bonus, which means the bonus is not going to be taken out of Recoupable Revenue from sales, etc. Not many people get this, but it does exist.

@@BoloDaProducer Yes the mechanicals are being handled by MLC, I'm affiliated. But HFA still issues direct licensing for clients with various sources. I'm not earning any large revenue from them, but I have thousands of licenses and agreements thru HFA for lyric sites, video games, etc . I love that you are giving the information out that you are, and I'm sure it's a help to those who will listen..

This is eye opening for sure. The business of music really has changed a lot. The way that music is handled changed everything. I now understand why it is so difficult for new artists. Bolo do you think record companies will be around in the next 5-10 years? It’s so much easier to just release your own music however the marketing is still an issue.

Alot these producers and rappers see these artists flashing on camera and automatically assume they are making money. Honesty, alot of these guys are fronting dope money or just renting. Only the top hit makers are making the big money; everyone else are just getting chump change. It's all about who you know or how big you can create a buzz for yourself because alot of these cats are just using the music to hide other ishhh 🤫
