Really well explained. I like the changes....Will be easier to pin and suppress targets....but the ability to go down behind cover and hunker down (forfeiting your action) to make yourself hard to kill....but you will still get suppressed. Feels right

hi mate, yeah the change to shooting is great, i relly like them, i think having larger squads of 10 men + will be the norm for v3, i think the 5 man squads will be to fragile, with all the bullets flying round. :)

I think it's great changes. Makes the game much more strategic. My worry is discrepancy and vehicle cover. It could cause some issues in game... so for example. If a unit it say 50% in cover or 50% not in cover. Is it closer units count... so close units out of cover get removed before you take cover saves or do the half of the guys in the open get cover saves they shouldn't really be entitled to... and vehicles... is it going to be they have to have like 50% of the vehicle obscured. I think that mindset of is it isn't it causes unnecessary drama in games which I hope isn't the case... saying all that with that uncertainty out the way I'm still super happy with what I've seem overall

One think also noted that by going down in v2 the target was harder to hit and then the hits were halved before the damage roll was taken. So double benifit by going down in v2. V3 no benifit when trying to hit, no benifit when trying to damage only when the save roll is taken do you get the down benifit and it is cumulative if in cover aswell.

hi greg, yeah you get both, its on the table and i mention it in the video, if your behing a wall you get a 4+ hard cover save, if you choose to go down you get a +2 to your cover save, so going down behind a wall will be 4+ wall and +2 for down so your cover save will be 2+

@GDWargames that's correct and you mentioned it. I'm referring to the fact that to hit had a down modifier which is now gone and hits were halved if a unit was down this too is gone.

@@gregbradfield1686 yeah thats true, :) the list of modifiers to hit is now so small it will speed up shooting a lot, i like the way the new rules puts the defence on the defender now, instead of having loads of modifiers for the shooter, :)

Yeah, each week they’re just showing us a better and better game. Can’t wait to try out the new rules. You mentioned Regulars getting wounded on 4+, do you think then that Vets will be wounded on a 5+, and Inexp. on a 3+? I’m otherwise not seeing the value in being Veteran.

We don't know how moral will work in V3 yet but in v2 vets were 5+ to wound and moral 10, regs 4+ and moral 9, etc so vets are harder to kill 5+ to wound and have a better chance of passing orders and rallying due to there moral value of 10.

I think the damage values will remain the same so 3+ inexperienced 4+ regulars and 5+ veterans.
