My mate can I had a v. 2.5 game the other week, he had a viable 29 OD list, mine was 24 OD, and that was at 1k. In 2nd ed I always squeezed in 14 to 15 order dice in 500pt to 750pts (my preferred size) quite easily, and that's wih every unit having 6 shots each (apart from the mortar, obvs) It's quite a shrewd business move by Warlord in that we can easily squeeze in nearly double the units in an army now in a standard game. Hoping it does play well, I think they've hit the rules right on the marker with some rules, and either poorly applied others and totally missed the boat entirely on other fronts. We will see. Still a great game and likely to be my main game still (apart from MESBG probably....) Enjoy!

Pins have been downgraded too, 1 and 2 inch templates cause D2 pins, 3 and 4 inch template weapons cause D3, and I think Multilaunchers take a pin when they fire too, so they could fire every turn, but would need to pass their tests to do so

even with the reduction in the number of pins if you fire 3 or 4 multi-launchers there is a good chance you will wipe out inexperianced units, especially if they still count each pin as 2, :)

@@GDWargames and with going down and cover making little difference I think (unless going down still means half models hit) it'll be messy for sure....

From the order dice side warlord want to sell more packs so imagine they are staying 13 dice, how ever some of the new sets include order dice such as special weapon teams and I've seen some tanks wih a dice. Ive also heard the US can take a quad HMG platform with 24 shots as its not vehicle mounted but itd would be all at one target which i expect to suffer if shot at even vets

yeah sales of more order dice will make warlord happy, in 1st edition Bolt Action and also in early Antares minis came with order dice, :) Yeah the quad .50cal (meat chopper) should be good against infantry, i have one to try out, :)
