Love the Rangers. Hope they are awesome in V3. Where is the wrecked staff car from?

Glad you enjoyed the battle report, I believe that the staff car was 3D printed as it was supplied by my opponent.

@@RetroAtticMancave i usually dont watch battle reports... they tend to be long, boring, and show dice as often as troops... yours was a welcome change. as a toy soldier player wither..(?), i do have one tiny critique... when you take pics of the soldiers. you took pics of them ingame, and in game, their alignment makes no difference, because its a group... but for the pics, could you face them all in same direction.. when the narrative says they are all doing something, and the pick shows troops pointing all directions, pointing at themselves as well as enemy, its...not as cool as it could be with better posed troops. that being said, even without that, your battle report style is the best ive seen. the toy soldiers are always the star of the game. i enjoyed it, great narrative, look forward to more.

Thanks for the feedback, not sure the opponents I play with would let me take even more time to pose the figures during a game. They are quite patient enough allowing me to take numerous pictures during a game. These Battle Reports are not staged, but actual games of Bolt Action where I manage to grab a few photographs in the hope of turning them into a video. Although I'll see what I can do for future games; cheers.

@@RetroAtticMancave I didnt know that it was a live game, i thought it was a game recreation, so the facing makes more sense... prolly a non issue for most, for me playing with toy soldiers is first, and rules are second. most that play wargames seem to play the rules not the soldiers. dont let that detract from my initial post. you are posting the best battle reports as is, and i stand by that opinion.

Yes, a lot of viewers don't realize that these Battle Reports are not staged, but actual games of Bolt Action, during which I manage to capture a few photographs, mainly at the end of each turn. Afterwards, I write up the Battle Report, but rather than talk about what dice were rolled and movements made, I try to create a narrative to give the video a cinematic feel. Glad you enjoyed it, there are quite a few more to watch on the channel, again appreciate the positive feedback.

M-18 is a pretty good tank destroyer, but I like my M-36 B1 as 1st you do not see to many in game and 2nd it really is just a super Sherman with a 90mm SH anti tank gun. One player I played against actually thought I mixed up the turrets and put the M-36 on the M4A3 hull by mistake until I pointed it out in the US forces book. We did play a cat and mouse game on turn 3 to 5 against his Tiger I where on turn 5 I was able to get a hit then a 4 and finally a 5 to torch the Tiger. But he also wasn't happy that it had a hull MMG and so was able to protect itself with the roof HMG and said MMG against his infantry. But on turn 6 his one Grenadier squad got a side shot hit with a Panzerfaust and set it on fire which I was lucky to put out. But the M-36 B1 is expensive as it is 330 points regular with the roof HMG option but with a DV 9 and said hull MMG it can be a little more aggresive than the M-10 or 18.

The M36B1 Jackson is a great tank, but for the same points you can field an M8 Greyhound in addition to the M18 Hellcat. This gives good all round fire support as both can be fitted with pintle mounted HMG, but more importantly they can both use Recce, plus you get an extra order dice in the bag. As a lot of the missions are objective based, you do need infantry squads to win the mission as vehicles are not able to hold objectives. For a standard 1000 point game, not sure sinking more than a quarter of your available points into one vehicle is a good idea. That said, the M36B1 Jackson is certainly a tank not seen on the battlefield that often, would be nice to see a picture of your tank, why not jump over to the Retro Attic Mancave Facebook page and post a picture in the comments; facebook.com/RetroAtticMancave.
