Love seeing another Bolt Action video out of you guys, always a fun watch. That first two turns were especially brutal but I think Robin made it worse by what looked like panicking with some of the moves he made in the second turn that really hurt him. The scenery was beautiful. As far as how salty Robin was? As salty as the bottom of a bag of pretzels. Can’t wait for more Bolt Action videos from you guys

Great to see more people doing bolt action. 16 mins in and I'm going to have to pause it till tomorrow. Couple of points I could see if you don't mind me pointing them out... as others have said on the first two turns the Sherman is more than 50% obscured by the building and would of gained hard cover. Also fortunately it didn't make a difference because you failed to wound. But the mmg would of been hitting the bazooka teams on 7's (6 followed by 6 for people unaware of Bolt action), as the small team modifier of -1 would also stack with the heavy cover (-2) and long range (-1)

A lot of fun to watch. I like the format of the battle report. I think you missed a few rules here and there as others in the comments pointed out. Armchair general time; I would've had the airborne guys assault the flamethrower team in the building rather than shoot in through the windows (if the flamethrower had already gone that turn). Always like to see some Bolt Action. Great table and game. I think I would have been salty too. A few rule thoughts, SS are fanatics, so if they lose combat fight on. Flamethrowers still need to roll to hit. Once a flamethrower squad has run out of fuel it is removed from the game. You may have been rolling for Panzer fear or you may have chosen to ignore it. An immobilised tank needs to check for turret jam. You may have done all these off camera of course. Look forward to seeing more Bolt Action. Thanks guys.

That first assault was painful, you can never predict bad roles but I would of just advanced into the building and shot them at point blank. Hitting on 3s for the rifles and 2s for the SMGs would do a lot of damage and then you are in hard cover plus you get the +1 to wound from the building.

And that sniper really should of shot the flamethrower team instead of a rifle squad. Ignoring the small team and hard cover is a super strong rule. And it’s a weapons team which means it gets destroyed by exceptional damage which a sniper does automatically.

When a flamethrower team runs out of fuel they are removed from the table. Don't forget that fixed weapons (mortar) cannot move and shoot in the same turn. Great game to watch though.

A little nitpick: "Panzer" means armor. "Panzer" is not a type of tank, as in "panzer tank." That's only part of their names; Panzer III, Panzer VI, etc. Then, some have other names that we know them by: Panzer V is known as the Panther, Panzer VI as the Tiger.

Great game guys, flamethrowers are brutal. I'd have a squad or two ready to ambush them next time. But best bolt action table on the internet... I'm not so sure. Some of the AB players I know go crazy on their boards. Foreground terrain is lovely though.

Can I ask a noob question, are you playing a scenario from your imagination here or following a published battle. I’m trying to learn bolt action and I’m building a box of Waffen SS & US Airborne, to add to the German grenadiers and US Airborne I got in the Band of Brothers set I started with. The Bunker at 47:20 with the LT in it should have taken 1 pen, no damage and the bunker needs 12 hits from a HE shell to destroy. Pg 127 Bunkers. PS: U.S. Army says Hoah marines are hoorah...lol Was a good Batrep enjoyed it, models and table look great.

We built and painted most of the miniatures, our friend did a fee for us. The buildings are prepainted so didnt need anything doing apart from building, which Rich did.

We would recommend the band of brothers starter set, thats what we started with. It gives a good selection of American and German forces, plus some scenery. @@GeeksWargaming The church isn't painted. It's noticeable because: it's big, and also it's in the backdrop when you present the armies. By the way, which army lists did you use? There are so many of them it's difficult to know which ones are the better ones to use: for example there's a market garden US airborne list in the US army book (which dates back from v1) and the same force, but with a rather different list in the much more recent market garden book...

I used battle scribe to create the U.S army list and then double checked the points in the books to make sure they were correct, just to let you know the church is prepainted mdf from 4ground, didnt need any painting
