Bolt Action Unboxing: Opel Blitz & Maultier

Today John and Justin are looking at the Opel Blitz truck and Maultier half-track for Bolt Action from Warlord Games.
Thousands of Opel Blitz trucks were produced during the war and put to use transporting men and supplies. To deal with the sparse road network and muddy conditions of Russia they would later be converted to the Opel Maultier, or "Mule", which were fitted with a half-track.
This kit comes with the necessary components to make either the Opel Blitz or the Maultier variant. Seated in the back are 10 infantry models which, as John shows, can be built to be removed as the infantry embark and disembark the vehicle.

Got an Opel Blitz on the way. My British Commando's are hijacking it! Going to have the classic wounded guy in the back scene going on.

The best way (in my opinion) to look at it is no one was good. its not a hollywood blockbuster with a clear "good guy" and "bad guy", it is all grey. Like many of my friends believe ALL of the Germans in ww2 were "evil", sure there were terrible men but there were also generic German people just serving their country. not only that but the allies had more than their fair share of horrible people too.

My grandfather had kept 2 dozen issues of Yank magazine from '44 and '45 that I still have in decent condition. yeah, crazy stuff to dehumanize the Japanese. The ads are really funny though...

The Germans did have Cavalry they were mostly deployed against partisans, needless to say they were not nice people.
