Top quality video man. What you say about the highlighting taking time to "get it" is spot on. I have been a stop start hobbiest and when I look at models I painted a few years ago, the highlighting looks really nice. Today I am finding it tricky to get back to that standard and find myself thinking, what am I doing wrong. I think key is to not jump to fast

Great tuto, thank you. Are you using Vallejo 70873 US field drab? I say this because your figure looks too green in just the base color and this color, although it contains green, does not have as much pigmentation of that color.

Thank you so much 🤩 yeah I'm definitely using 70.873 US Field Drab. I think the filter on the camera might have made it look a little different but once you mix US Field Drab with Iraqi Sand you should get a nice mix 🤩

@MutsuKazuma I disagree. I provide every paint in the video. The list is an additional perk for my Patreons for the extra support they provide the channel. It's just a little more convenience for them but it's not a big perk as you can just take notes yourself.

@@paintingpanzersthe view isn’t exactly square to the table making it very disorientating. It seems that Lende is actually pointing back to where you are sitting and not actually straight down in a 90 degrees angle

My "US FIELD DRAB" is a lot more brownish, watching the video it seem your it is more greenish. How it is possible? The code is the same 70873...

Yeah, the video lighting is a bit funny on this video, it is definitely US Field Drab. It should be brownish then when you mix in the Iraqi Sand you get that Khaki colour. Feel free to message me on [e-mail] and I can try help a bit more if needed.

Just picked up the band of brothers set - the airborne is part of the m1943 uniform. If I wanted to paint them in the 42 uniform like you have here how would you go about that?

Excellent question mate! Honestly, there really isn't much difference between them uniform wise so I think you'd be safe to paint them in this scheme 😁😁

Los colores que indicas no son correctos. El US Field Drab no se corresponde con el color que usas en el uniforme. El vídeo está mal.

I used US Field Drab 70.873 as my base colour and then mixed in Iraqi Sand 70.819. Both are Vallejo and the colours are correct. The same paints and colours were used for my 20mm US Airborne figures.
