Yeah let’s see more. Max min to see what different platoons can achieve but also look to play other scenarios to see why and where infantry will be key as it does look like armour and support are pretty powerful

I just got into Bolt Action with a Germany Army, Version 3 has me excited as I dip my toes into the end of V2!

in this game there were the most 1s and 6s on dice from big guns and mortars that I have ever seen

Haha when I saw your first couple of time stamps come up I wanted to wait until you finished to respond, those mortars didn't need infantry in the end! Crazy game right? It seems like it was 1s or 6s all the way, nobhalf measures, the dice gods were clearly enjoying v2.5 😂 Thanks so much for signing up and going above and beyond to help us produce better content, you've had our back for ages commenting, so its wonderful to have you as part of the team now! @@scholaprogenium7276 Well the dice gods run glorious through your bloodline. Its rediculous hahaha.... But accepting fate and his own ancient magical genes... That's the way to go! You two do excellent Work. I Hope you get alot of Channel members if that is your goal. Maybe it could become Something sustainable, one day soon. Well... I was cleary DRAWN to your Videos, style and Persons you are. Same with Bo. I think the honesty, fun and love is for the topic is what keeps me enjoying. I think you should do an ENEMY OF THE GATES! But I would say... You do you. Listen to your Gut Feelings, what gives you a Pump... Trying to please the audience IS great... But intrinsic inspiration should be also followed!

In my mind, I feel it will be roll to hit with only range, weather you are inex, reg or vet and pins as the only mods to hit. Player A long range, one pin and regular needs 5's to hit. Then once you have the 'hits' the other player then rolls the save against those hits using the down or cover modifiers. IE player a rolls and gets 3 'hits' hit gives a pin. Player B in soft cover, regular, needs to roll 5 (regular 4, soft cover 1) or under to not get killed. So say rolls 3,4,6 so 1 dies. Pins still come on any roll that 'hits' the defending player rolls the possible wounds with the cover modifiers and such added. So it means there will be a lot more 'hits' especially with the bump in mg shots, with more pins but harder to kill things in cover, you can pin them in cover but not kill as much.

@@talasmanca Yeah that's an interesting observation for sure. A hit is a hit and gives a pin regardless of cover saves, there will be more pins but a lot less other negative modifiers making it quite streamlined!

Thanks for the video. If these are the rules for v3 then I think shooting will be far more effective. E.g. long range + movement and hard cover would be 6’s followed by 6’s. Now it would be 5’s, then a saving throw of 5+. Statistically this will make is easier to kill off troops. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

Wonderful game!! Maybe stick to what we know-know, and do less of the speculation. With the Machine Guns and the Cover Saves, we don’t know how they work for certain. The Force Selectors are hands down the one thing I’m most excited for in V3. Being able to build an Army that’s finely tailored to what I want.

@@scholaprogenium7276 I had the terrible thought of the Quad Meat Choppers. 24 dice at 48in with a +1 penetration. I’m both frightened and excited, fingers crossed for the reveal tomorrow!

@@jeffashley9659 yeah I was thinking a similar thing for my partisans! The crazy thing is I dont think it will be that broken if people can just hammer you back with their own crazy combo 😂

@@scholaprogenium7276 So far the Quad .50 on a Vehicle only has 12 dice against ground targets, but the full 24 dice against air. Which is still good. Just have to wait and see what the idea is for the artillery version.

I'm not sure how I feel about the cover saves, I feel like hit or no was already streamlined enough. Granted, we don't know what they plan, but I feel like it will slow up the game. I also feel the roll to wound also represents the units ability to get into cover, hence why veterans are harder to kill because they know how to use cover or get down while Inexperienced recruits are just as likely to stand there and be shot. But just my thoughts

As you say, we just don't know mate! However if it is any reassurance, we found splitting the modifiers between two calculations was a tonne quicker in practice when we filmed this :)
