I love my C5 bc it’s from the last era where sports cars like this were still raw and a drivers car. Yes it has traction control that works well but you click that button off and you better be up on the wheel. Best budget performance out there today!!

That’s how my C5 sounds like I got headers x pipe and SLP Loudmouth with a stage 3 cam. I have a 1999 Silver C5 “Zr1” as I call it. I have C7 Zr1 wheels, C7 Zr1 hood, C6 Zr1 fenders front and back, C6 Zr1 splitter, side skirt, diffuser, and wing, and a carbon fiber roof. It’s a one of one as far as I know since Chevy never made one. My plan now is to maybe supercharge it like a real Zr1

As far as seat of the pants feel, doing the intake was the only one you could really feel. Throttle response was instant better, motor had a more grunty sound, top end was noticeable once the “ram air” started to take affect. But with the tune I picked up about 20-25 to the tire. Made 365 with bolt ons.

18x10.5 replica wheels on a 295/35 continental extreme contact sport. They perform great. The suspension is all fresh so that helps with it hooking but it doesn’t make all that much torque either. But it does hook up well. Never had any traction issues at my lower level with these tires.

At what RPM do you feel it start to go crazy?

If you hit it down low it really starts pulling at around 4000 or so and makes peak power at 6400. It carries that peak power to around 7k. I turn it 7100.

@@swiftripper7557 before the cam it would get about 27/28 highway. Now It’s about low to mid 20s highway. But when you start adjusting fuel tables and such, the factory mpg gauge isn’t exactly as accurate as it began.

@28TVmusica depending on how deep ya wanna go into adding extra parts and such but minimum be at least a grand or so including tuning if ya do the labor yourself. I did everything myself so I had no labor cost. General costs at a lot of shops that include add ons like balancers or oil pumps, cam swap parts, fluids, labor, and tuning is in the 3-4k US range. But obviously can vary from location to location.
