Hello francoreia, Actually I removed that system and replaced it with a Paul’s karts hotcoil a few months ago. The CDI kit was hard to start. Thanks for watching!!

Great stuff Sir! Cutting edge CDI technology! I like it!

Really changed how the runs. Seems to pull hard and not flatten out like before. I haven’t had a chance to get it out and really open it up but for now I very pleased with the performance.

I wonder why it's so hard to start, I would think the delayed idle ignition would make it easier. Also this has to be the most important and easy upgrades you could do, the engine sounds like a consumer vehicle, what with how smooth everything is, probably would last alot longer without the knocking idle, and I'm assuming the advance is much higher than possible with the lawnmower magneto.

Hello, Not sure why it was so hard to start. I went through that install so many times while making this video. When it work the engine ran amazing. Just didn’t start that often. I may try it again one day. Thanks for watching!!

Hello Charles, The CDI kit performs very well but I found to be hard to start. I eventually took it off and installed a Paul’s Karts hot coil. I think the Hot coil makes the engine easier to start. I may try working with the CDI again someday. As for the muffler, I made it and I have a video about it and the parts I used. Thanks for watching!!!

@@DIYWilly Too bad it doesn't have a switch to fix the timing during startup, like a choke for your ignition lol.

@@DIYWilly I'm doing a hybrid (gas-electric) application, a powerful electric motor will spin the engine to ~1000 rpm instantly. Where did you get the CDI kit?

Check out CDI performance on Facebook. I purchased the kit from him.

I just saw the short for this!

This took 2 weeks to finish due to the sensor for the flywheel not working properly. But the customer service was excellent and I received a replacement part that worked perfectly.

@@DIYWilly nice an actual company makes these kits?
@DIYWilly2 жыл бұрын
There is a link in the description but it’s a guy out of Canada that makes the kits and he has support here in the states to help with distribution. Unfortunately one of the sensors had a problem but he worked with via Facebook messenger to help figure it out. Once we knew what was up he quickly sent me a replacement part. Can’t get any better support than that.

Just letting you know yanking on the pull cord is not the best way to start your engine it’s best to pull a little until the it locks with the flywheel and then you pull

@DIYWilly Жыл бұрын
Hello Jack, What is you question about the wiring? It’s a simple switched 12v system with ground from battery. Thanks for watching!!
@jacksonwheel1464 Жыл бұрын
@DIYWilly you bought a kit. I'm talking wiring a cdi from a pit bike or something of the sort and using a battery to run it. Not looking for a pre-made hundred dollar kit. Any general cdi
@DIYWilly Жыл бұрын
You could wire any DC CDI box the same way. The only issue I see would be the magnetic pick up of the flywheel. I purchased the CDI kit for that part. Otherwise any DC Box would work. The box should wire exactly the same way, switching the positive wire with the kill switch.
@jacksonwheel1464 Жыл бұрын
@DIYWilly if that's true then making a video on doing a cheap cdi for predator 212 would get you a huge chunk of views. Because any cdi I find is $100 or more. So a cheap pit bike plug in solution would be awesome
