After overvolting lots of these little 3/6/12/18v brushed DC motors in my young days just for shits and giggles, i can tell you they ALL fail the same two ways, the cheapo ones always slings the windings out, and the more skookum ones (drills) usually throws a white glowing carbon brush out the ventilation hole for your entertainment. The little "skewed" bearing in the plastique bottom end, is actually a little ball-shaped bronze bearing, enabling it ro roll in the housing to always be aligned perfectly with the shaft (just like on hydraulic cylinders!). actually a clever way to align low precision parts correctly.

Victoria Hansen some now come with a plastic trust washer near the brush end. (Wall mart 6 volt kids rid on toys) this will melt and coat the brushes and com. Had this happen twice. Now i remove it before putting in the 12 volt batteries 😀

Didn't Einstein say that such a thing doesn't exist?
@martinxXsuto6 жыл бұрын
When they tried to look for the medium in witch light as a wave travels they called it the aether. They didn'T know anything about it, but it's name was aether. Then came some smart people who said such a thing doesn't exist and did experiments. The results contradicted the existence of the aether, so that was dropped. It also turned out the speed of light is the same and it doesn'T matter where you are or how fast you are. This JFM was solved by einstein.

RC car racers know all about this. If they run their motors too hard, they get hot enough to melt the solder holding those wires on, and that's how they fling off. Extrapolating from that, I assume that this one also desoldered.

Ya see my lower back is blown to sh1t, I've had 3 back surgeries in the past year, and due to have my 4th op soon, so cleaning the shower cubical, bath, etc is impossible. With this I can clean it all without any bending/leaning...
