And yes, the way she talks is so sweeeeeeet that I'm surprised she hasn't gave all daddy's subscribers diabetes yet. He must be so proud. I can foresee in 14 or so years time she'll be on a date and the young man will try the old "Oh dear, The car won't start" routine, And her reaction will be "No problem. I thought it sounded like it was running slightly rough on the way here, It's probabbly electrical......... You got a toolkit in the boot?" LOL!

RC gas engine... now we are talking
@C2H5OHist6 жыл бұрын
Looks like the pump stage is running at around 1200 RPM in it's stock form (Sounds like it's around 40hz on the high speed and has 2 pulses per revolution) so he might get away with, say, 2500 RPM. RC gas engines produce just enough torque to idle around that area and peak at 15k+ so he would have to keep the gearing and that sounds like a bad idea waiting to happen. You can get lots of low end torque and introduce less vibration with, lets say an brushless DC outrunner motor and speed controller. There's a check valve that doesn't let the pressure rise infinitely so he'll have to change the spring on that one. Also he would likely just get more flow, the cylinder heads are going to give up if running with the stock nozzle and twice the output.

In my apartment building I can’t get a hose or power to my car, but there’s a river in the car park so with one of these I can throw the inlet in the river and blast the shit off my car. I can two bucket method to clean but my current way of rinsing is throwing a few buckets of water out of my 5th floor living room window onto the car below. Neighbours hate me.

Being that it is intended to be connected to a garden hose, it wouldn't need to be self priming. I'm going to speculate that it's just as much of a POS as the other Worx stuff on the market. The tool box inspector sounds like a very knowledgeable little person. Show and tell at school should be very interesting in the future. Lol

It doesn’t connect to a garden hose. The dangle end goes in a bucket of water. And it is self priming. You just have to hold the trigger on for a almost a minute. It’s ok (not great) on pressure. I’ve used it to clean ac coils away from hose bibs.
@ToTheTopCrane6 жыл бұрын
I thought it had a garden hose connection on the bottom of it. My bad. I guess I need to be more observant. That would be handy for cleaning something where there isn't water available. As long as it "Worx". My wife bought one of the little "Worx" string trimmers and it was a POS. Didn't figure this would be any better.

"Can I use this on the ground?" "Absolutely." This is how you interact with kids. She's interested and wants to explore a new object. So what if the floor is a little wet? It's a teachable moment and a bonding experience.

The joy of children that are being raised to be human beings instead of the waste of space so many are and will be. Well done sir.

Christopher O'Brien that would work pretty well. the pressure it creates would be roughly identical as with water ("390 psi"), it would just run a bit slower because of the difference in viscosity

I get WORX and CORE confused all the time. The much more interesting company, CORE, was a startup that was eventually bought by MTD. The founder (apparently from Montana) had a novel idea for a super flat motor design that involved building the armature and other components into the PCB. It would be really cool to see a BOLTR of one of those.

Like Printed Pancake motors? I was looking up short profile motors a while back and I found Printed Pancake Motors that had some awesome properties. High power and were spec'd to run at 10x nominal current for 40 seconds "without damage".

You kick so much rear brother thank you for all your work!!! Just a note on the Worx series, i used an electric worx string trimmer several years ago when they just came out. Total junk, clogged up and melted the housing around the motor. I recently bought the Worx electric 14" chainsaw. I just needed something quick and didn't want to spend a hundred fifty bucks on a cheap gas chainsaw, so I spent 50 bucks on a cheap electric chainsaw. To my surprise that thing is a beast!!!

I have 2 of them and use it all the time. I use it to Wash cars, clean siding, clean area rugs outside and the list goes on. The plastic bottle adapter is great to clean small things. Only feed water in the pump but you can use an adapter to spray/mix chemicals.
