Heat regulation and amount is better than expected, cord is well made, has a low voltage alarm and shut off, and has the ability to plug in an external power source. Edit: THEY HAVE A BUG ZAPPER! A BUG ZAPPER THAT RUNS ON DEWALT BATTERIES! They even have a nibbler, a variety of sanders, vacuum, coffee maker, and a cordless pressure washer. Insider information: I highly doubt that part is sand cast. It looks to me like a shot blasted/shot peened aluminum die-casting. Shot peening is common to achieve desirable mechanical properties of the base metal. It is also an effective clean-up operation for removing flash, produces a better appearance, masks defects, etc... Tho I would have to inspect the part to tell you for sure. Once you understand there is a difference; you can likely notice a texture difference visually, especially with magnification. FWIW in my experience, blasted aluminum darkens to a smoky grey where sand cast aluminum is still silvery white-grey. All dependent on post-processing of course... Oh ya, btw - I'm unsubbing Edit: not to mention the geometry (thin cross-sections, right angles) of that casting is Absolutely better suited to be die-cast. I hope someone out there finds this helpful or interesting.

Harbor freight used to be like 50% of the quality for 20% of the price. Was basically junk, but was also cheap enough to still be worth it for stuff you didn't need to be long lasting or really nice. Now, their like 90% of the quality for 90% of the price. Much nicer quality on some of the stuff to the point many things are very reasonable quality tools. But, now the price is also often pretty close to common home gamer name brand tools. Especially since so many things are bare tools without batteries.
I don’t know if my use case says anything about the quality of this pump but we use one to pump out an outside shower we have on our property and have been for a little over a year while we do construction on our house. We leave it plugged in sitting about two and a half feet above the drain to intake water and then it pumps about another two feet up over a wall. I’d say we use it about 2hours a day 5-6 times a week. I clean it out about once a month and the glass window has etched itself with rings. I’m not sure why it has done that but it’s only on one side. I flipped the glass around 4 months ago and nothing on the fresh side.

Metabo already does the dual power source thing, although a bit differently. They have a battery pack that's also the transformer. So it doesn't have a distinct plug, rather a fake battery pack that slides in and connects to a transformer. I don't sub just because people tell me to. I don't think I'll unsub for that reason either. Just my contradictory nature, you understand. Love the vernacular, keep it coming!

And you fell for that one, and how many years have you been married? You need serious therapy, of what kind, I'm at a loss there, but it's quite obvious that it take years to deprogram you. Hopefully you're not from California, because if that's the case. There's probably no hope of a slight recovery, I'm sorry to hear that you maybe beyond help. And you thought a clean work bench is a cause for concern. Poor fellow, let himself be led astray without his knowledge. What a sad way to go, and never knew the end was near. Poor AVe, must have ventured too close to Mt Shasta, and was abducted by aliens.

Maybe consider a 750 gpm marine bilge pump for $30?

Glad to see a clean bench, that means all of the stuff got healed, right? Only took a couple of years
