All you need do is listen to Sean Carters music. He mentions wealth, money and luxury items more than any other subject matter. Maybe it means nothing, maybe it’s a peek into exactly what he prioritizes. For others it might be drugs or sex or even politics, but for SC it’s always been money over everything else.

Love Bomani… his commentary about Black folks giving in and watching is an indictment of who we are…. No questioning of when do Black people achieve ownership. Jay-Z got the SuperBowl shows but when does he get a TEAM!?!… and when do we stop giving so much time to watching this timeless transfer of wealth. Keep battling y’all!

It seems like no matter how provocative people think Jones is, at the end of the day he will fall in line with corporate. Not hating or anything, but he has survival skills and knows how and when to use it. I heard him tell Jemele Hill how when she was getting in trouble at ESPN, he went to corporate to figure out how can he avoid the same fate. They giggled and shit, but it made me instinctively scratch the record on him.

That's not what he said, at all. He said that he went to Skipper for an explanation as to why she was suspended under the guise of how he can cover the same topics and avoid getting suspended. He doesn't have the clout where he can just go in and start demanding explanations from his higher ups. So, he went looking for one while being tactful.

I thought he tried to make himself appear to be clever and tactful, like he could navigate the minefield in ways that Jemele and other blacks couldn't. N-word please! 🙄

I would challenge the gentleman that they’re over, thinking it, especially trying to get in the minds of the two entertainers Rihanna and Shaun Carter. I’m suspecting that our friends either aren’t equipped to psychoanalyze or are off-limits to psycho analyze the behind-the-scenes forces and interconnected networks that created Arianna, created a Jay Z, and how those connections are in bed with the various power trusts throughout the NFL. Do you have the advisers of these entertainers , working in close unison with the advisers in brain. Trust of the NFL to quell the several of the NFL players, including Colin Kaepernick. People should consider that someone who understands how the salad is made, and how the power in Hollywood really works, and how much of his notoriety and wealth are absolutely tied into keeping happy the powers behind the scenes… Carter, you what he must do even if he did not get a direct script to do it. As for the two gentlemen worried about Carter’s egg on his face moment, here, it’s part of his job to get that. His allies will make sure that the public perception will see him as a genius. See him as the best rapper of all time. To erase this from his legacy. Judging from the comments, we have a lot of fans of someone they really don’t know. (Sidebar: many do not realize that everyone who kneeled with him are members of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, as is he. We have not really delved into the importance of these affiliations, that Kaepernick and his several fellow NFL players had here in truly causing a significant drop in African-American viewership of the NFL product, which intern caused the NFL to take a more popular athlete to break that perception and ultimately getting Nike involved to essentially pay Colin Kaepernick to march off into the sunset)

@@soopergood5012 no people are trying to insinuate that jayz did something snakey by accepting the nfl deal when kap had already settle and said all he wants was a opportunity to try for a team. Jayz got every nfl team to send a scout to watch him play and guess who didn’t show up for the try outs. Kap new he was out the league he was protesting from the bench for a reason

@@cantstop-wontstop2138 Anybody that thinks they can give advantageous advice to Jay is suggesting he hasn’t given consideration to it. That would imply that they know something he doesn’t. That’s a possibility. But you’d have to demonstrate that thru your own life and career trajectory. Neither of these dudes are equipped to do so. They’re just talking, like everyone else.

@mindbully Being a successful ENTERTAINER only requires one to be ENTERTAINING. Getting the business opportunities he has gotten required THEM(the NFL) to see him as being SAFE, AMICABLE, COOPERATIVE and COMPLIANT. His willingness to flip on Kaepernick was him showing his willingness to be ALL OF THE ABOVE.

@mindbully Except Derek Chauvin...he didn't get the Jay Z memo that we were "beyond kneeling". In fact, Chauvin proved that Jay was out of touch wit the daily realities of the average Black man and was getting more intertwined wit the white supremacist establishment. Yeah- I said it.
