I was at desert sky, I was sunburned and over heating out side on the field, not told what was happening and was told I couldn’t call my parents for any reason, I feel that if that was the last time I would be alive, I should be able to tell my parents I love them.

True I go to Esmond and we got to watch movies, also your lucky desert sky is a really nice school I go there for sports a lot

I go to CHS and my goodness me and my friends had to make a rooftop fort out of hoodies to keep from getting sunburnt. We were able to call our parents but there was so much miscommunication. Im so sorry you werent allowed to call, I hope you didn't get too emotionally traumatized

Here’s my experience: this day was like any other normal day at empire for me. I wake up normally first, get ready and go to school. And the school day was going normal until 4th period. When the fire alarm first came off, I thought that it was a fire drill and I didn’t grabbed my phone. Although I did get startled and I normally get my phone. Me and my class went to the football field like a normal procedure. But we stood there for like 45 mins I think and we were told to move away from the school. Which was starting for me to think that there was a fire happening. I got more scared. And more waiting around to overheard that they are planning to cancel school and get parents to pick them up. Which I broke down crying because I never got my phone. And then shortly after we where told to move to Esmond station which we also where told that we had water there. So me and my class waited for a bit and we went. The area was filled with cops and I saw a fire truck. But the road was in chaos and I think people didn’t listen to the instructions. Once we came into esmond station I was talking to my teacher about the old memories n such, and half off the school got separated. 9-10 MPR and 11-12 library. And then when we came there we got water and its was nice and cool. Overall I think my wh teacher almost made the situation worser and that there should be some preparation for next time. (Wh teacher is a level one diabetic and requires his blood surgar to be a certain level.) As well as students passing out from lack of water most likely. Although I didn’t get thirsty at all because I’m used to the weather since I grew up in vail. Overall not that bad for empire but there is improvement for the school. But this was their first time evaluating from the school and the principal was proud on how brave some of us where. (Posting this for everyone too see my experience n such)
