One of the only UK produced videos on Bombarda/Bombarde/ Sbirulino/ Spirolino. Thankyou🙌 If anyone wants to be inspired search any of the above names, especially in Denmark and west Baltic coastal area. Where they use this for saltwater fishing of Sea Trout and Gar (Hornfisk). There is sinking, semi sinking & floating versions. I use up to 60g available from Decathlon if your angling shop doesn’t stock They use the stiff piece of tubing as the bulge at end of Bombarda will push line out and away from main line more, allowing them to use 8-12ft snoods on their Xlong spinning rods. The 60g punches out line further than I can get on 60g lead weight. Should be more popular here, as well as Bass think Mullet also.. Thanks again

Also if you slow down/stop line before it hits water the fly/lure will glide past with less chance of tangles..

Huge thanks for your comment for some reason it was hidden and I have only just seen it! Where do you source the stiff bits of tube from please I'm keen to fish more with the bombarda it's a really nice way of fishing :) Thanks for watching

Hi Steve what approach do you use when fishing the fly on the bombarda? Do you do slight jerks and reel slow?
@darthbader65062 ай бұрын
Very nice 👍

had a guy recommend a wire between the bombarda? whats your view?
@TheEastbourneFishermanАй бұрын
Good idea tbh I may give that a go thanks for the suggestion

you could set one up with a much longer snood to fly 6ft+? and use a light conti rod ive a 16ft one that's rated up to 120g then fish it at long range for Mullet and Trout
@TheEastbourneFishermanАй бұрын
That's a good idea how does it handle the light weight of casting of do you increase the weights
@buckrogers2828Ай бұрын
@@TheEastbourneFisherman 80gram goes far as with length of rod plenty of leverage and can go+/- i was using a Shimano 10.000 XT(Something)Baitrunner with 10lb mono which casts pretty freely. You could go with a floating bigger Bombarda float even? Rods a Trabucco Cattturia(Beach Ledgering rod!)with the three push in tips. More strings to your bow!
@squeesmyth9025Ай бұрын
does it act as a bolt rig aswell?
@TheEastbourneFishermanАй бұрын
I don't think so as the float is locked in place

@@TheEastbourneFisherman fair i was more thinking when the weight hits it
@rayb2282 ай бұрын
Well and simply explained. Dont like the knots though 😂😂
@TheEastbourneFisherman2 ай бұрын
It's a beginners guide so the most basic knot is easy to show people new to fishing who want to try it People who know more about fishing will use and adapt to what knot suits them best
@rayb2282 ай бұрын
@@TheEastbourneFisherman fairly said. could be an idea to suggest other knots or point to a video of ones youve done. cheers
@buckrogers28282 ай бұрын
Please don't tell me you tied those knots? There Shocking! 5 turn grinners far more tidy as no curly line either.
@TheEastbourneFisherman2 ай бұрын
A simple blood knot for someone who is new to fishing is more than enough to get them fishing seeing as this is a beginners video. For those who are not new to fishing changing out the knots for ones more preferred is what most will do. I use the grinner mostly myself however in these videos being of a beginner basis a simple knot is sufficient doesn't complicate it too much for someone just wanting to give it a go
@squeesmyth9025Ай бұрын
whats your limit or lure weight? as the eddy stony is weightless
@TheEastbourneFishermanАй бұрын
Weightless as the lure acts as the weight they are designed to cast weightless lures

@@TheEastbourneFisherman awesome i love to see haha as i am usually someone that overly complicates rigs hahah
