I am 14 years old in 7 days. My step father introduced this video to me when I was in 1st grade."he was still my mom's boyfriend at the time" A few years later they got married and he became my legal stepfather. Every year maybe once or twice, we will be in the car and this song gets brought up. We put the song on full volume and we sing along with it. .Last Christmas I got a guitar and thos was the first song I ever WANTED to learn. I plan to one day be able to play it with him. It truly makes me happy when I hear this song. And it really changed my life. And I will never forget the day my dad showed me it.

I recently moved from Florida to Colorado. It’s a big strange shift during this very turbulent year. I’ve been a Bon iver fan for a long time but I somehow have never found this video. I’m so glad I did, because now when I look out at the mountains and I hear this, I feel home. For the first time in a long time. Wow everyone! Thanks for all the likes, comment and the like from the creator. I have revisited this comment often at different times of my life over the last couple years and debated giving different updates. Since commenting I’ve restarted college, moved to Florida, moved back to Colorado and am turning 24 today, living with my girlfriend and dog about to finish school. It’s wonderful. Thank you for all the love and if you are watching this in a bad place it will get better! ❤️

This video is so beautiful, the music, their voices, the energy...I always cry every time when I see it, i'm crying right now. The first time I listened this song was 7 months ago, November, in Asturias. It was a rainy day and I was with my girlfriend and our dog inside of our house. She was studying and I was with the headphones listening this incredible song. I remember perfectly every detail of that moment, as if it were happening right now, so I'm going to write as if I were living it right now. I only do one thing, observe Elena's beauty. The beauty of the moment. The beauty of life. I feel peace, gratitude and love. And I also feel melancholy, because I know that this moment will not last forever. I only want to stop fucking time. Just her and me, and our dog, in the middle of the mountain. The rain, the fireplace, the music... Since that moment, I have that memory in my head almost every day. I listen this beautiful song and I teleport to that moment. And I feel her beauty. I feel alive and at peace. A part of me will always live in that moment. Thank you for making me feel alive. Thanks for the music. Thanks for the love.

I was in Paris recently and visited the Montmartre without a map, just wondering around, hoping to find the park that they (and altj) played at. Right when I was about to head back, I saw a small park a couple blocks away and walked towards it. It just happened to be the same one. I just sat there for a while, taking in what had happened here several years prior.

orginallos I know that you mean that to be an insult, but it's a perfectly valid life choice (one of which I do not partake). And I know that they say to never feed the trolls, but really? You reached into the vast caverns of all the words in the English language and all you could come up with was "gay"? If you are going to try and be insulting, at least do it properly. However, if you chose to take the mature route and not try and retort, I would advise you to just quiet yourself and listen to the music instead of spreading prejudice and bigotry to anyone who will listen.
