This is talent in its purest form. Being a musician for more than 25 years, I could not perform in a studio without any flaws on the first take. 4 years ago, this was my go to as i was trying to finish my under graduate course. Forgot about it as life went by. Now, it is suddenly recommended by youtube again, nearing the end of my post graduate degree, and thus, here i am again. something poetic about it.

If I could choose the best video on youtube, this would be my choice. I had the chance to watch Bon Iver live twice, and this is my "live memory" reward! These 24 minutes are simply amazing and powerful! Unbelievable!

There is something about this song that makes it feel ok to be a 45 year old woman and have music be the only life force she will ever experience. Thank you for such a deep rooted movement. I feel complete.

that look on Justin's face 1:05-1:07 sums it all up. it's like he knew what he was getting himself into sitting down across two grands from Sean with a set list in mind but until that moment did he realize just how fucking good and unique and poignant this all was about to sound. i mean goddamn. this is a flawless display of what two guys and two pianos have the absolute capability of doing. transported me to say the least.

How do they not shed a tear during "I can't make you love me," everytime I listen to that song a flood of memories rushes to my head, bringing out true emotions that I've had bottled up every since I was eight years old... Bon Iver has re-shaped how I see life, they saved me from the depression I've been in... Bon Iver is my motivation to get through life without a single doubt, thank you.

Vernon was sent to earth to create music...... his sound puts me in a place no other music, of a genre has. His voice has so much range. God put that man on earth to do what he is doing and no one could do it better

being alive in the same era as #boniver (justin) is an absolute honor. feels like when hes gone generations will look back fondly as one of the chosen god given musicians and his music will be studied by professionals as a musical anomaly. like jimi and page he was just a moment in time. A flicker of a miracle that erges you to still believe in something more than reality.

I've listened to this thousands of times and this is basically music for my soul. I see a lot of people understandably look for meaning of some of the words. I think however you shouldn't always look for meaning, fill in the blanks with your heart instead. His music leaves room for interpretation. Use that room and feel the music

Reading Stoner and listening to Justin and Sean. The world is an imperfect and ugly place, the kindness and deepness of few human souls makes it bearable, somehow. Like walking in silence under a starless sky, with the silent company of strangers.

Jeff Bannow Same here dealing with profound loss and grief/sadness shedding tears while listening in the dark also. Finding it hard to celebrate or embrace the Christmas holidays after going through so much heavy loss of family and friends over the year. Justin Vernon’s music is so heartbreaking and touching at the same time. I’m wishing you the best Jeff. 😥✨😰
