She always told me that she wanted to change her name to Emma, so this song always made me think of her. When she stopped loving me, she stopped wanting to change her name. That little piece of who she was, who we were, will always be encapsulated by this song and the album as a whole.

i would hate to be constantly reminded about somebody who broke my heart, as justin does day in and day out when he tours, because he's constantly singing these songs about Emma. I hope it brings him solace and not pain
