Both Young Guns films kicked ass, part 2 is the best. All the characters were perfect, Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips & Christian Slater kicked ass. Also the fact that Viggo Mortensen is in this film, I love that guy. And Pat Garrett played by William Petersen was awesome. Part 1 had a lot of great actors in it, Part 2 had even more amazing talents

I’ve been working with youth for 17yrs as a high school teacher and so many kids complain about their parent/s not being involved in their lives. For those of you saying, “drop the kid”, that’s exactly what a lot of deadbeat dads do! They leave their kids to their own device and head out etc. There are songs that Annie likes and that’s a massive win. Don’t get stuck in your instant gratification by looking for the reaction you wanna see and open your mind to what this dad is building with his daughter. It’s boring, yet beautiful for them.

I live just miles from where they shot this movie. There is a bar called Mary's bar in Cerrillos NM and she told me that when they filmed this movie she met the whole cast and crew. Lou Diamond Phillips made a spaghetti dinner for everyone. There is still a signed movie poster at her bar to this day. Mary has since passed away but her family runs the place now.

Was forward deployed for Operation Desert Shield when this came out and missed it; however, there were other units coming in and they were singing the song, yelling "Regulators" as we stood around not knowing what they were talking about. Luckily, 7-8 months later, I got to see the movie; rocking song!!!

Pretty sure bon Jovi was in the film and was like the first guy killed. This is one of my personal favorite guilty pleasure songs. The album version includes a snippet of the dialog between Billy and another character: "William H Bonney, you are NOT a god." "Why don't you pull the trigger and find out?" I normally say I'm not in to westerns but Young Guns, Tombstone, Posse, and like one other all happen to be fantastic movies. Now go back to that Fleetwood Mac "Big Love" challenge i sent ya, i want to see her reaction to both of those versions!

JOn Bon JOvi is in the movie. He's one of the guys that's in the pit with Doc and Chavez. He's looks like he's been made up to look like a native american. when the lynch mob arrives he gets out and he's holding a knife, I think, and he kills some guy. then a few seconds later he gets shot and he goes falling into the pit.

Jon bon jovi was actually approached by Emilio Estevez who asked him for the song wanted dead or alive as there movie soundtrack, but jon bon jovi said no to that but he said he would write them a song instead which was blaze of glory. That's when he turned up with he's acoustic guitar and played it .the song wasn't a bon jovi band song but was on Jon bon jovi's solo album titled Young guns released in 1990. Also Jon bon jovi was given a Cameo in the film , he was a corpse in a coffin .

Yes they wanted to use Wanted Dead or Alive at first. Jon is on set (He was in the movie) and He said no, I will write something new. On a lunch break this song was written. I remember an interview with the director and saying, we went to lunch and this guy writes a hit song. Something like that

Dude! That peyote scene is absolutely hilarious. "Did you see the size of that chicken?"😂 Young Guns is one of my favorite movies besides Backdraft. Edit: That said, the peyote scene was from the first one. It also makes more sense from an outlaw perspective over a soldier going into battle, but I can see it both ways.

The first Young Guns movie was more close to the true story of Billy "the kid" I looked it up and Doc ( Kiefer Sutherland's character) moved to Texas and became a sheriff and lived to be 90 years of age.

I have, IN MY HANDS, the single cassette of Jon Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" (I even have the cardboard "wrapper" it came in) -- The B-Side is "You Really Got Me Now" (no idea what it sounds like, been too long). My mom is selling her house and going through 30 years of STUFF that has accumulated and she set a box aside for me with THIS, Prince's "Batdance" single (also the single cassette with wrapper), an entire shoebox of Commodore 64 floppy diskettes, and a few other mementos from the mid to late 80's, early 90's. I might have to purposely buy a cassette player from Wal-mart just to see if this thing still plays. Nostalgia!!!!

Firstly, both Young Guns movie followed by Goonies, Fifth Element, or Start with Transformers The OG Movie (Animated) with good Rock Sound. RAD for BMX fix etc, Buckaroo Bazai for ridiculous funny. I had a google window open while watching this so searched Billy the kid. I found his birth date and date of death but surprising there was an old man claimed to be Billy the kid and died in 1950 . If he truly was Billy the kid , that would make him 91 at his death. It was an interesting read but Im sure way back in 1881 they would have made sure Billy was well and truly dead when they shot him. Really interesting stuff turning up. That's the whole premise of the movie. Brushy Bill Roberts is the guy who claimed to be Billy The Kid although no real evidence backs it up.The theory goes that because Pat Garrett was an old friend of Billy's he finally convinced him to leave New Mexico instead of killing him and they faked a burial so no-one else would go looking for him.

Remember this song back when it was popular on MTV and my aunt had recorded this and many more for my sister when i was little kid. this song is more powerful for people who have actually watched the movie haha. yea, i also read where they were gonna do "dead or alive" but decided to write this in to the movie instead which was a good call. the song still has meaning for those who haven't watched the movie still though which is a sign of a great song and obviously the melody makes a song great too when people can just enjoy the music without even knowing the words when the song melody itself can evoke emotion....

I know thoose lines pretty much spot on "Di-di-di Did you see the size of that CHICKEN?!" and the "We are in the spirit world asshole,they cant see us!" is 2 of my favourite lines. The ironic part is that Charlie Sheens character is the only sober one......And he calls them "Godless heathens" while observing them all go crazy lol. Dermot Mulroney is absolutely amazing as Dirty Steve Stephens,the one who spots a BIG imaginary chicken and also is the character behind the "spirit world" comment. Allways chewing tobacco and spitting all over the place.....brilliant character and acting! Just an overall brilliant cast & soundtrack. All the way down to smaller roles such as Jane Greathouse played by Jenny Wright in the second movie. Defintly the 2 best Western movies i have seen.

Some funny points about this one - Jon Bon Jovi went and did a 'solo' album, Richie Sambora (the lead guitarist and backup vocalist) went and did a solo album at the same time. Jon's album, of course, made headlines and had press because it was partially connected to this movie (Jon did at LEAST two songs for this movie, if not more, and two of them appear on his solo album as well as the soundtrack to YGII). Most people still don't even realize that Richie did a solo album. It's actually a really chill, relaxed vibe (which dedicated heavy rockers would possibly dislike). But who was John's backup band while he was solo? Bon Jovi. Figure that one out...
