I remember when I bought the Bon Jovi New Jersey Album, boy did I have trouble making the money (as a fifteen year old) to buy it. When I finnaly had the dough in my hands I went all excited to the record store, it was called Coco Disco and bought it! That night and for at least six other nights in a row I laid in bed enjoying that music on my cassete player, as only teenagers can!

I seen this show live I’m 55 years old now and it still gets me off my ass on my feet. I’ve been a fan when really nobody really knew Bon Jovi early early days friend of mine brother worked in Jersey brought back a bootleg cassette and the rest is history I’d love to go back to those days and live the 80’s one more time. People make fun of the big hair days, glam rock they call it but in my opinion it was the golden age of Rock N Roll and we will never experience that again. If you were there and seen BON JOVI, Motley Crue, GNR, Poison, Ozzy, Skid Row, Ratt and the hardest Rock Band in my opinion METALLICA then you know what I’m talking about you felt the energy in the place especially right before the show starts that’s why I love this video so much to me it’s the closest thing we have to bring us back to that very special moment in time.

Sexiest bloody, entertainers to walk the face of the Earth, all of them. Bon Jovi and all the rest. Kids today, truly, do not have a clue. They don't get it; it was ALL, part of the SHOW. And WHAT, a bloody, show it was, too. It was indeed, a special moment in time, one which I would go back to in a heartbeat, to relive again, if only I could.

A friend of mine had two extra tickets and invited me and my wife to go with him. Atlanta the Omni March 1989. I didn’t know much about them other than the hits like Livin on a Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive. They came on to this song with the drum and guitar build up and everyone went nuts. Then pyrotechnics and Jon appeared on stage out of nowhere and this song kicked in. I was in a state of euphoria and I thought I’d never heard a better opening song in all my life. And the good feel energy that Jon has was electrifying.

If you're ready, I'm willing and able Help me lay my cards out on the table You're mine and I'm yours for the taking Right now the rules we made are meant for breaking What you get ain't always what you see But satisfaction's guaranteed They say what you give is always what you need So if you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me I'm a fighter, I'm a poet, I'm a preacher I've been to school and baby, I've been the teacher If you show me how to get up off the ground I can show you how to fly and never ever come back down Everything you want is what I need Satisfaction's guaranteed But the ride don't never ever come for free If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me [Solo] Don't you know I only aim to please If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me

We saw the same tour in Baton Rouge, LA. One of the 1st shows on the tour. At the time I'd never heard of Skid Row so we didn't go in at the beginning of their set. We entered the arena as they were playing "Youth Gone Wild". I was blown away. Bad ass song. I always regretted not seeing their whole set. Of course Bon Jovi blew the place up. It was a good show.

As with Alec, he was fired due to reports of him disclosing private info about the band for $$, or something to that effect.

yeah.... then METALLICA came into existence and basically stayed in the metal underground more or less until the justice album and i was a bon jovi fan, make no mistake, to the bone but , hey .... Kill em all was good lightning was better and then when justice came out , the world took notice bon jovi (in the metal community ) Lost ground to metallica and when we hit MASTER OF PUPPETS, ..... Holy fuck, it was game over at this time , Bon jovi basically ruled the world then Metallica ruled the world and the big 4 were noticed Megadeth most noteably for obvious reasons Anthrax was there Slayer was an acquired tasted and Maiden... well...Iron maiden was iron maiden, Everyone loves the iron's and then we had.... ahhh yeah THE NEW WAVE OF FUCKING BRITTISH HEAVY METAL how could we forget and ..... next to that metal and NWOBHM How was bon jovi going to compete don't get me wrong, we still loved them even though it wasn't cool to admit it at that time and you risked being bashed if you did admit it but we did love em but let's be honest , Bon jovi was crushed by the influx of Metal , simple as that and who's bigger today Metallica or bon Jovi thank you end of debate again i love em both, but history is history

@@martinkuliza Metallica are a fake sellout band who only goes for fame and money than actual music. Metallica got Bon Jovi's sound mixer/engineer Bob Rock as their producer? How can Metallica beat them if they got Bon Jovi's sound mixer/engineer. Also, Bon Jovi has 10 top tens on the hot 100 and four number ones. Metallica has only one top ten and is that crappy sellout shit called Until It Sleeps. They have no #1 songs on the hot 100. Metallica got outsold by Nirvana in 1992, check Billboard for that. Metallica are a bunch of old greedy money people who are somewhat of a joke to the so called metal community. Lars was being a joke himself when he sued Napster in 2000. Bon Jovi always kept real to themselves and knew who they were. Metallica is a fake band that have no idea who they are, playing with Lady Gaga at the horrible grammy's. Bon Jovi are more popular around the world, Metallica mostly appeals to pissed off teenagers that quickly grow out of that.

@@martinkuliza Also James Hetfield is an alcoholic rehab asshole who like to make fun of other bands. He made fun of Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley. He made fun of Kurt's death and mock Layne addiction. He claimed that Jon Bon Jovi is so pretentious but he is actually the one that is pretentious. Metallica are the fakest band in popular music history. They are SELLOUTS. James should quit selloutallica and focus on his life, he is an alcoholic rehab asshole. Oh and most of rock is dead nowadays while Hip Hop music is the biggest music nowadays. I don't like rap at all but we have to face the facts. Metallica are mostly for pissed off teens. They talk bad about Bon Jovi but used their mixer/engineer? Bizzarre? Strange? Fuck Metalllica. All they want is only money. Screw them. I would be glad to see one of them die like Cliff did. Screw them.

@@martinkuliza Bon Jovi did what Metallica couldn't do, make Hard Rock the most popular genre in the popular music business and make it appeal to screaming female fans. Bon Jovi were a phenomenon. Slippery When Wet was the best selling album of 1987 according to Billboard and Bon Jovi became the best selling artist of 1987, outselling all the artists that year. They had four number ones on the hot 100 in the 80s. They even influence Metallica to use their mixer/engineer Bob Rock. Metallica even used Bon Jovi's video director. It's simple. Metallica wanted to be Bon Jovi but Bon Jovi never wanted to be Metallica. Bon Jovi stick to who they were. Jon Bon Jovi cut his hair in 1992 while Selloutallica cut it in 1996. Look who's copying? Fucking Metallica. Bon Jovi got out of their roots before Metallica ever did and look who is playing the same garbage noise today? Metallica while Bon Jovi keeps evolving. By the way, Lars Ulrich is a greedy money asshole rockstar who wanted Napster down. Fuck him.
