Have been watching this performance for almost 13 years and counting. Love the after-solo vocal match between Richie and Jon.

Jon’s vocal was still fucking epic in this video..... how sad it all faded away within just few years

OMG this is absolutly great performance by Jon. I didn't know that he was able to sing such an extremely difficult song at this high level in 2010. Perfect❤ And the rest of the band is awesome too. I wish Jon's voice would come back live like this these days!

Holy mother of God. You forget sometimes how unbelievably good Jon was back in 2007-2012. They were good times to be a Bon Jovi fan.

This is a great performance. With Jon utilising more techniques to perfect the performance than relying on youthful cords. And the techniques fill the gaps where he no longer has youth. Creating... In my opinion... A BETTER performance than 1996.

As usual, great job with the audio :) And I'm starting to repeat myself: I really feel like the These Days album is probably quite an underrated gem on its own. Jon was probably at his peak both in terms of creativity and voice, Richie was THE Mr Sambo, Tico was flamboyant (has he ever not been?), Hugh was starting to receive some love from old BJ fans, and David was... there, I guess :) (just kidding, here, as he seems to be a wonderful person, but the only album I have from him, "On a full moon" just didn't work for me)
@hAnD906 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I agree with you, These Days is THE essential album for me, not only from Bon Jovi. Yeah, Slippery When Wet made me a fan, New Jersey is the one I love up and down, but no album ever struck with me like These Days. It helped through some tough times and made me realize how much strength music can have :)

The Circle tour was probably the last great tour by Bon Jovi. Jon did not yet started to age, was in good physical and vocal shape, which allowed for more variety in the setlists. This made the shows better. Richie had just found his mojo again and was not alcoholic for some time, which also helped. It's so sad the a lot of bad things happened to the band for a short period of time after that, which took their tall. The energy is not the same, band is getting older, it is a fact. Jon needs more backing in the stage. David is not that good of a singer, Phil X is great, but only as a side kick, Tico is over 60, and the other guys are just good musicians, but not special. But material is good lately, Bridges is great, THNS is also very good. The last 2 songs I also like, although the sound a bit like It;s my life wannabes.

arodfantennis because we can nel 2013 è stato l ultimo dove riusciva a cantare! Sicuramente nel 2010 era meglio. Ora purtroppo è imbarazzante. Per me rimane leggenda

Agree with this other than David. The guy has and has had the best voice in Bon Jovi since Richie’s started to go down hill in 2008~09. Also in his last few shows Richie was awesome. I think the band first started to go really go downhill around 07. The last good shows were in 2013 but they weren’t consistent, now they’re finished

There were some good shows in later tours. Cleveland 2013, Milan 2013, Berne 2013, Sydney #2 2013, and Sao Paulo 2017 are some examples.

As a bit of fun. Find two live performances of the same song over different years. For example, Bad Name from 1998 and 2018. Play them both at the same time and notice how in time they are. That takes some doing! Not every band can play the same songs at the same pace years down the line. Huge appreciation!

Lyrics: I lost all faith in my God, in his religion too I told the angels they could sing their songs to someone new I lost all trust in my friends, I watched my heart turn to stone I thought that I was left to walk this wicked world alone Tonight I'll dust myself off Tonight I'll suck my gut in I'll face the night and I'll pretend I got something to believe in And I had lost touch with reason I watched life criticize the truth I've been waiting for a miracle I know you have too Though I know I won't win I'll take this one on the chin We'll raise a toast and I'll pretend I got something to believe in And I don't believe in Jesus, how can I believe The Pope? If I don't believe in heroin, how can I believe in dope? If there's nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin? The world that gives you nothing, I need something to believe in Something to believe in, something to believe in I don't believe in Jesus, how can I believe The Pope? If I don't believe in heroin, how can I believe in dope? If there's nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin? In a world that gives you nothing, I need something to believe in Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey Something to believe in Hey, hey, hey, hey

@andreacasazza33503 ай бұрын
@@parisjok5311 i had a strong faith for many years and i've never seen this song as a "i lost my faith" and nothing more, but this song can have a deeper meaning. It's up to each one of us to find our meaning behind every song that we love. To me this song could talk about someone who lost something, maybe the faith in humanity, and, since he lost the basis of his certainties, he's asking to himself "where is God? Where are you, Jesus?". He would like to reconnect with him, but he told "His angela to sing their songs to someone new" (as the song says) and HERE you must pay attention because the Song also says "i NEED something to believe in". THAT MAN (or woman) wants to believe in something and if you think that it's worth believing in God, at the end of the song you can believe that he found again something to believe in. It's up to you. It's up to what you think the songs wants to tell you. There's nothing bad in singing that line :) Have a nice day

4:38 🤯 as well as the second chorus. Jon’s nasally voice isn’t a problem with this song, an Richie is on fire vocally, especially considering his vocals from the circle and greatest hits tour weren’t as good
