💡 Derek Scott, brother of the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott, has publicly opened up about his rocker sibling for the first time. He said it's the first and last time he'll grant such an interview.
Derek says that many stories written about his brother, who died in 1980, are "bullshit."
Derek addresses Bon's alcohol abuse issues. Some mystery still surrounds the circumstances of the AC/DC singer's death, but it's known he died from alcohol poisoning in what authorities infamously classified "death by misadventure."
"He did get bored very quickly," Derek says of Bon, the influential AC/DC frontman whose real name was Ronald Scott. "That was the biggest problem. When he got bored, he drank. He never worried about tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day." 💡

@@bimbobaggypants4820I thought the same thing. It made me think, “Bon would still have his hair!” Lol The youngest brother, Graeme, looked SOO much like Bon. Graeme, last time I saw the rare photo of him, still had his hair halfway down his back! This was only a few years ago. I find it strange why Graeme wasn’t interviewed for this documentary. I found it even more worrisome when Derek said, “I’m the last one standing.” Btw, Derek is the middle brother. A lot of people get that wrong and say he’s the oldest. Bon wasn’t even the oldest. There were actually 4 boys: The oldest was Sandy who tragically died before his 1st birthday! 😢 Actually, Sandy was his nickname, I forget his actual birth name. I want to say it was “Alexander”. I’m not sure though. But Sandy was born in 1943 according to what I read. Then Ronald Belford “Bon” Scott was born July 9, 1946. Derek was born in 1949 and Graeme was born in 1952. I’ve read that the Scott family emigrated to Australia due to Graeme having bad asthma. I read that Isa (their mom) and Chick (Charles, their father) were told the climate in Australia (warm and dry) was said to be good better for Graeme’s asthma. Then again, I’ve read many biographies that claim Bon had asthma too. Maybe with both boys having asthma gave them more of a reason to move to Australia? *Btw, Bon and his brothers DID NOT HAVE A SISTER. That is a long-standing fallacy. People get confused because Bon’s headstone/plaque says, “Loving brother of Derek, Graeme and Valerie”. Valerie is Derek’s wife. She is Bon’s sister-in-law* Valerie and Bon were as close as can be. He used to write her from the road all the time. There definitely like brother and sister. So that is why the Scott family had her listed in that way on Bon’s grave plaque. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. I’ve not only seen this being argued about online, but I’ve had many people argue with me over it. When I die, my sisters in law are going to both be listed on my plaque/headstone just like the Scott’s did with Valerie. I love my 2 sisters-in-law are like _real_ sisters to me. Same with my brother-in-law who’ll will be listed on it too. Families do this. With Bon though it’s been an almost 44 year old misunderstanding. Anyway, sorry for the long reply. I might as well write a darn book on my hero Bon. Lol
